Ahhh my flight was 52 mins late today

Well I am off to WDW Nov 8th and i was checking to see if the flight I am taking with Air Tran has been getting off on time and I check arrival times, as you can tell I am pretty anxious

but today 10/14 the flight got off 52 mins late!! I am not worrying but I hope that does not happen to our flight, it is supposed ot leave at 7 AM, now from my past experience at Philly Intl we seem to always get off 30 mins late.

Thanks, I hope so too. I check the flight home from Orlando on 10/14, it was 2 1/2 hours late getting off, I am guessing due to bad weather up here.

The last time we flew, there was a pilot seated next to my DH. He told him that most airlines factor in extra time in their published flight times, to make up for delays (within reason) An example he gave was, a flight takes 1 hour 40 mins, but the airline will publish a 2 hour flight time. So even if you take off late, you still arrive within a reasonable time of your scheduled time. We took off 40 minutes late travelling to Nashville, but only arrived 5 minutes late. You will also hear your pilot tell you he/she can make up time in the air.

Yeah they sure can male it up, on our flight home from Orlando in April we made it to Philly in like an hour and 20 mins, he was MOVING!!

Fhily is always late getting the planes in the air. I refuse to go through that airport and so does all my kids. We hate it.

Yeah I know that feeling, but we are close to it, 25 minutes or so, the next closest is probably Newark Delaware 45 mins but smaller, Baltimore 2 hours or so and Atlantic City 3 hours.

It is nice once you get back to Philly Intl to be home in 40 mins or so

I haven't had a flight take off on time to orlando in years..there is always a delay. I hate it. I schedule things and like things to go as planned....I usually get piffed.

Wow, on the flip side the flight was 9 mins late today 10/17 but got in at 8:57, wow that flight had a nice wind behind it or something, 1 hour 48 mins is fast
