Surprise gifts from Hong Kong Disneyland Grand Opening

Friends of ours were in Hong Kong during the Grand Opening of Hong Kong Disneyland and brought back souvenirs for DW and myself. They gave us a pin that says Hong Kong Disneyland; HKD Grand Opening park maps in both English and Chinese; a badge holder in the shape of mouse ears that has the castle on it and a banner that reads Hong Kong Disneyland Grand Opening 2005; and a Grand Opening Celebration Album CD in which Disney songs are sung in Chinese.

What struck me more than anything was the limited number of attractions in each of the park's lands. It doesn't seem like it would take very long to go through the park.

Our friends had photos taken on the subway that runs from Hong Kong to Lantau Island, where Disneyland is located. The cars all have huge windows shaped in the classic Mickey ears silhouette. Very cool.
