Disney Comics

Does anyone else out there read Disney-related comics (old or new)? Not only the old Carl Barks material, but new series like Haunted Mansion, Tron, Wonderland and Gargoyles. HM is already out and the others all start in the next few months.

Re: Disney Comics

David,

I looked at the HM book, but put it down. I was very surprised to see that it was a black and white book. Would you recommend it?

Re: Disney Comics

I liked it OK but I think more because it was sort of Disney-related rather than for its own sake.

Re: Disney Comics

I have a really old one I used to read all the time when I was little. It was about Mickey & Donald and a dragon... that's all I remember. I still have it though, I'll have to dig it out and reminisce, hehe.

Re: Disney Comics

David,

Oh definitely. I'm a comic book collector from my teenage years, and once or twice my wife collected something or other. One of those things was Disney comics. She's got a fair amount of Carl Barks material. She also has quite a bit of the more recent Don Rosa books. Rosa is somewhat local and a friend of my local comic book store owner (a friend of mine); at one store appearance, my wife got an original Rosa sketch of Scrooge McDuck. Very cool.
