Well, I still need to make my deposit.
But I have booked (or on hold) the POP Century,
leaving November 4th and coming back November 12th!!!
AND- Super Soap Weekend should be the 11th and 12th!!!!!
Hot soap studs here I come!!!!
anyways, back to my trip...
this year it's going to be just me and DD, age 8
I requested a Preferred room at the POP
We are on the Disney Dining Meal Plan again
Iam renting a car (this time travel agent is booking it for me!)
and of course Iam getting the Premium MYW tickets again!!!!!

Iam sooo excited.....
and you know what else?
A good friend of mine, who moved to Wilmington, NC last year is going too!!!!
along with her hubby, DS age 8, DS age 2 (they are driving down)
She's going Nov 4th - Nov 10th, staying at the All Stars Movies
She will be celebrating her B-day on the 9th (she didnt realize that she would be spending her b-day at WDW till afterwards!!!, oh cool is that? )
and our kids who are the same age will get to go on some rides together!!!!!

this is her first WDW trip with her family, she hasnt been to WDW since she was a Teenager and is a big MM Fan!!!!!

I have been helping her with her trip plans and told her to come sign up here!!!!!!

I also have a neighbor and a co-worker going to disney in April, and Iam helping them all!!!!!

Iam having so much fun planning my trip and helping others and hoping for a good time (praying my DD and my friends DS don't kill each other! )
My friend and I have been friends since 3rd grade so our kids have known each other since babies.

The only thing is, I debated long and hard about where to stay this year.
I wanted to take a break on my wallet and stay at the POP, plus my DD is really looking forward to staying here but Iam not 100% sold on the hotel.
Why? Because I stayed at WL last year and CBR the year before.
Iam having anxiety attacks over how small the rooms are, no QUEEN beds, only Doubles! NO JACUZZI! No pool slide! , I wil have to pay $10 a day for the Refrigerator! , and the hotel skimps on alot of other things that the other hotels provide....
I "want" to change to the CBR, I know the rooms there are BIGGER for the Mod's and I liked the hotel last time but yet didnt get to enjoy the hotel. And then there's the fact that DD realllly wants to stay at the POP and I would be saving $474.00 by staying there.... Someone help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another thing, I was hoping to go back in Late April or Early May for the springtime and the festival they have then or the teddy bear / doll festival in Epcot in May.

val, I know about the anxiety attacks over the size of the rooms, but so many folks here have said the values are perfectly fine. If you are not in the room that much, then, the money you will save is really worth it. I think since it is going to be to the 2 of you, you will be fine!

CONGRATS! Booking is SO exciting!!!
I think with the room, you'll be in WDW, and probablly not spending THAT much time in the room...put that extra $474 into souvenir, a nice meal somewhere, a photo of you with mickey, think of it that way maybe.

I love that you are already booked for a new trip. You can never plan to soon. I would go to the movies over Pop, but sincer your DD is looking forward to staying there, just go to POP. I wouldn't worry about the rooms being to small for the two of you. It will be a lot different without your DM being there and you won't need as much space or feel as crowded in the rooms. DD and I stayed at ASMusic and Movies and never felt crapmed at all. It's perfect for two. Save the money and have more for fun. You will be there on my birthday, so make sure you tell mickey it's my special day.

PS: I think you'll have fun at Pop, we stayed there in '04 and it was fun! If your daughter is looking forward to it and your friends will be on vacation the samae time too you'll probably be so consumed with everything you won't notice the differences. As long as you go into it with a happy outlook you won't be dissapointed. The gift store there is AWESOME, and the food court has SO many good thing!! The dessert counter is awesome!!!

I think you and DD will have plenty of room at Pop. Yes the rooms are small but you are not really in them all that much. As far as the pool with no slide, you will have that at the water parks

Good luck, I can feel you pain, I really wanted to stay at PORS this trip, but the kids really love ASMO(DH and I like it more then we thought we would). I figured that they are young and one day they will not want to stay there(maybe), so my Dh and I thought, we might as well make them happy and save money at the same time

Thank you everyone for the words of encouragement.
It's slowly setting in, and Iam sure we will be fine but Disney has me spoiled!!!
Yes, I admit it, Iam spoiled rotten!!!! ANd part of it I blame on Disney for having such beautiful resorts like the WL I stayed at last year but in the long run it will be easier on me, I was soooo broke last year for spending a good $5000 after all was said and done on the trip, souvenirs, etc... And this year we are minus 1 person... ahhhh...

And I kinda had my heart set on staying at a monorail resort this time like the Poly or Contemporary (especially after their big rehab). Maybe I can do that in May since my trip will probably be a little shorter

OMG!!! That is sooo , we definately have to meet up!
I do like that this is a newer resort, I guess that's why I didnt want to go to the other all stars and that food court does look pretty cool at the POP.
Iam soo excited about going back to Disney, I just got off the phone with another friend and put the Disney bug in her ear to go too!
She is a single mom too, but a widow and she has a daughter 1 year younger than my DD so that will be cool too if they go too!!! We talked about going together at the same time before so if all this works out we should really have a great time!!!! And having another mom there is company for me too.

So you are all booked for 06? We are booked to, 11/4 - 11/14 and yes we go to SSW also. It is a crazy weekend.
