Difficulty accessing DC Web site

Has anyone else been having problems lately getting on the Disney Central Web site or, once there, navigating around it? I've been getting lots of error messages about a problem with the DC database and sometimes haven't been able to get on the site at all. At other times, navigating around the site is really slow and at other times new posts take forever to load or don't load at all. I use three different computers in different locations, and I've had the same problem with all of them. I've e-mailed Mickey about the difficulty but he hasn't responded. Just wondering.

I think we've all had problems but Mickey just changed over to a new server last night. The change should take care of the problem.

yes. i have had the same problems. also, sometimes when a post is trying to load i get booted off the site entirely. it can be frustrating, but apparently there are issues with the server. i am always delighted when i try to get to the site and it loads on my 1st attempt! i find myself cheering, "come on, come on, come on...yeah!!!!" hope it gets squared away soon. i just check out other disney discussion groups and check back to try again a few minutes later. from my nosing around other sites waiting for this one to load i have found that the people HERE are the most helpful, happy, positive, pleasant people to chatt with re: all things disney!! some of the other sites just don't have the same great vibe! that's why i keep coming back no matter how many attempts i have to make before i can get logged in....it's worth it!

i got booted off when i posted my previous response!! it took 3 tries to get back on...so maybe it take the new server a day or 2 to get all teh kinks worked out. i dunno~ but i hope so.

I just had the same problem. Mickey said I may have some old cookies leading back to the old server.

I went in my Windows Control Panel > Internet Options > and deleted my cookies and files from the temp folder.

Now everything is fast again. Not sure if I fixed it, or it fixed itself.

I agree, the folks here are certainly the friendliest and most helpful.

okay thanks for this tip!! i did it and afterwards the site didn't recognize me...i had to put in my user name and pw again...so should be good 2 go now!

try deleting your cookies...it seemed to help me. no problems in the last few minutes since i did that...(see post above)

Thanks. I'll try deleting the cookies and the temporary Internet files and see what happens.

If you have old cookies, don't worry about it. When you dip them in milk they'll get soggy and you can still eat them.
