Walt Disney Treasures DVD collection

I appologize if this topic has already been brought up.

I was wondering if anyone is collecting the Walt Disney treasures tin boxes?

I bought Mickey Mouse:) in B&W last night on ebay. I bought the B&W box set for my kids, since they haven't seen much of the classic cartoons. I am sick of them watching the "Nick" crap. We don't get Toon Disney on our cable system.:(

My wife suggested I not open the box because it could be worth a lot more in years to come. If I plan to collect, I need all seven released so far. This will cost quite a bit!!

rlander, I have a few of the boxes in the collection, too, although I am not buying them as "collectibles" since I want to use them!

I think that the prices on ebay are too high though (for the tins that you can still purchase from either the Disney Stores or Disney on-line.) I know that the MM in B&W is still available at TDS. The price is $22.99 or $24.99 (without any discounts you could receive as a member of the Disney Club.) Other tins (Walt Disney Treasures) that are still available from Disney are the The Complete Goofy DVD ;Behind the Scenes at the Walt DIsney Studio DVD ;and the one already mentioned. Occasionally, I see another title at TDS.

Perhaps they will go up in price in the future though since they are numbered, limited editions.

As Mickey has shown on the home page, MM in Living Color is selling for more than $75 in the Amazon Marketplace(!)

I looked all around for the Goofy one today, and no luck. It was selling for about $50 on a couple of places I found. Any ideas?
