Is This Tooo Much?

We aren't going until September and I was wondering am I taking tooo many bags?
I was thinking of taking the following...
1- HUGE (wheeled) Bag for Me & DH
1- Med (Wheeled) Bag for HollyLynne - keep in mind she is 16
1- Med (wheeled) Bag for Amanda - keep in mind my Nikki will be turning 13 while at WDW

1- Small (wheeled) bag carryon - with extra change clothes, bathing suits, bathroom etc. meds.
packed - small duffle bag just incase.
1- small duffle bag with towels, watershoes, etc. - (do I even have to bring towels for the waterparks?)

On plane...
I will be carrying my laptop case, just because I am at WDW doesn't mean I don't have to work at 5 am, and the bag with all the snacks.
DH will take the small wheeled bag.
HollyLynne - I have no idea
Amanda - She is planning on her Tink Bag and her backpack.

Too much?

I don't think that is too much at all. It sounds like each person is responsible for one carry-on and one checked piece of luggage. Even your soon-to-be 13 year old DD should be able to handle that!

And the nice part is almost everything has wheels including my HUGE laptop case. I do hate the idea of working while on vacation, but I gotta at least check those emails...

I don't think that sounds like too much at all. We checked 3 suitcases and one empty carry on and then had a carry on, my girlie bag, and backpack with us on the plane and there are only 3 of us.

Besides I only have SO MUCH room in my car...
I am already afraid there might not be enough room...

"Too much" is a relative term. It'd be too much for me, but I try to get packing lightly down to an art form.

If it doesn't seem too much for you, it probably isn't!

I am a heavy packer, I always worry that I'll need something if I don't pack it. This year and last we didn't wear half the clothes I took for each of us (mostly because I did laundry but I knew I was going to so I didn't need to pack half of what I did). I can't help but pack too much. I also packed 3 pairs of shoes for everyone, that takes up a ton of space.

My problem is that I travel so much that I feel like I am always packing.
3 pairs of shoes is really nothing.. 2 in the suit case, one on your feet.
I will be packing DH - I have already warned him...
I have already started to replace some of his shirts. Since I have no suits to pack (I usually take 4) there will be room for his stuff... plus all I need is summer clothes, I will pack 1 sweatshirt just because and only the pair of jeans that I have on... DH will only wear shorts.

Amanda is pretty easy too. I will go through her stuff and weed things out.

I had a business trip to Bermuda last summer and I let her pack herself and she packed 14 pairs of shoes (flipflops). She took at least 20 different outfits and 4 bathing suits... she not only took over the HUGE bag, but 1/2 of my suiter...
Not this year, I told her the one medium bag or go naked.

But since we have to drive from the Pocono's to Newark I want to make sure that all our luggage is going to fit in the trunk of the car. The only good thing is that I am off the day before we fly out, and we are going to spend the night at my mom's house the night before, I really don't want to drive from the Pocono's to Newark that morning... it's almost 2 hours, would have to leave by 2am

Ya know, once I tried to pack just one outfit for each day and one extra for the week. When we got to the end of the trip that was the one outfit I did not want to wear! Always bring twice as much!

Well said!! We're a family of 5 and only pack one large suitcase, then each one of us has a rolling bag with us. It works for us, but probably not for most families.

I'm a terriblely heavy packer. Matt makes lots of fun of me. It doesn't sound like too much for me, but we have packing experts here (Dana and someone else...) They can tell you exactly what you need! LOL!

Your list sounds fine to me. Have you tried putting the suitcases in the car yet, just in case?
