Another Reason DC Rocks

So I just got back from my MOMS Club meeting. We had a roundtable discussion about "The best place to..." on a variety of subjects.

WDW came up. "Who's planning to take their kids to WDW?" My hand went up. "And," I add happily, "I made all my dining reservations for December yesterday morning!"

ANNNNND.....at that point, everyone looked at me like I had two heads.

These people, unlike DCers, so do not understand.

My brother and sil are very spontaneous people and don't get all my planning. They laughed on Sun. when I told them I made our ADR's for Dec.

I know that look! I get it about every time I talk about WDW. However, once we vacationed with a few friends a couple of years ago they realized the value in planning so far out.

You are not alone! Some of my friends do exactly what your friends did.
I have just learned to not talk about WDW unless they bring it up, then I let them have it!!! Joe

I get that alot, too. But, then they go for ONE rushed day and say "wow, it's really overwhelming" or "I wish I could of enjoyed it more" and I say...

HAH!! That's why you PLAN AHEAD!

Just let me point out it was a 'Mom's Club'.

A 'Men's Club' would have understood completely.

I wonder how many people go to WDW without having a clue as to what there is to do, places to visit, etc.

I am sure some people who do not plan get there and get mad when they can't eat at some of the restuarants.

The last time I went 10 years ago, I knew nothing.
I was told that I have to make my ADRs and I did
But I didn't know.
We went in November... it was still hot.
I didn't pack a pair of shorts for me...
the girls and DH yes, but me no shorts.

Now I know everythig... THANK GOD FOR DC!!!!!!!!!!!

I know exactly what you mean. I don't volunteer any info about Disney anymore. Even when someone asks, I can tell they get a little overwhelmed because I know so much and try to tell them everything. I am really glad I found DC to know that I am not just a "Walking Disney Encylcopedia" or a "Disney Freak".
