We saw "Cars" last night...

All the showing were sold out, but we got their early enough to get a decent seat (bought tix online in advance for the 7:00 show).

It was so cute! I can't wait to buy this one to see it again for all the little details I'm sure I missed -- Disney/Pixar did another great job with this one. If you go, don't hop up when the credits start to roll. As with some other Disney flicks the scenes that come next are some of the funniest stuff!

Re: We saw "Cars" last night...

We are waiting to see Cars until we can see it in a couple weeks at DTD in Disneyland. I appreciate you letting us know not to leave before the credits role. I hate seeing a movie than finding out later I missed something funny at the end.

We also saw it last night, it was great. You're right, don't leave before the credits, they are so funny. I'm sure we'll see it again before it leaves the theater, my DS loved it.

We also saw it last night! It was great! Unfortunately, we did leave before all of the credits rolled, we saw a few, but had an impatient 2 yo! I loved that it had some jokes for adults too, the kids laughed, but only because the adults were. This is a definant MUST BUY!

Re: We saw "Cars" last night...

Hooray! I was hoping they would put some funny stuff in the credits again. I remember seeing A Bug's Life in the theater with my aunt and she laughed so hysterically at the credits, my dad and I were practically hiding in embarrassment!

I really can't wait to see this movie!

Re: We saw "Cars" last night...

We are going on Monday, my 3 YO is so anxious! We had to buy the cereal while we were grocery shopping today. She broke me down (I usually don't buy sugary cereals, she probably won't even like the taste because she is not used to it)!!!

She loves the box, she held it while sitting on the couch to read her book. So adorable. I think I will have to go to the Disney store and get her one of the stuffed cars. I am glad it was good, I am starting to look forward to seeing it myself!!!

Re: We saw "Cars" last night...

We went yesterday night... it was packed!! We got there early though and luckily got good seats. It was SO CUTE!!! I hear it got some bad reviews, but in my opinion, it's right up there with all the other Pixar movies.

But my theater CUT OFF THE CREDITS!!!! I'm trying to find all the angry-looking faces I can... I was so mad!! You don't cut off Pixar's credits!! The story's not over till the credits are over! They completely shut the projector off (or whatever they use to play movies on now) as soon as the credits started rolling. Maybe because they scheduled the showings so close together. I don't know. Anyway, it was RUDE! Guess we'll just have to go see it again... :)

By the way... did anyone notice a possible split-second cameo by the birds from short at the beginning of Monsters Inc?? It happens near the beginning when Mack & Lightning are driving along. They show a telephone wire with some bird-shaped blurs as the camera goes by and my brother and I both swear they did the birds' "peep" noise.

OK, I'm getting really anxious and jealous here! I planned on being the first ones at the theatre yesterday, but I still haven't gotten there...and now DH wants me to wait until his next day off so we can all go...I don't think I can hold out until Wednesday!

Re: We saw "Cars" last night...

We all enjoyed it... but I hadn't realized how sensitive DS5 is to things!

Spoilers ahead...

DS was completely freaking out when Lightning tore up the town, and especially when he hit the power lines. (I guess safety talks make a BIG impression on him). DS is also such a rule follower: "Lightning went in there! It says PRIVATE PROPERTY! What's going to happen to him?" There was a LOT of freaking out. (Me: "Do you want to leave?" DS: "No." So I guess he was dealing with it. I wish he'd dealt with it a bit more quietly... )

Also, there were a few points where he asked me just how much longer this was going to be.

But then he seemed to really like it, and spent the rest of the afternoon acting out scenes from the movie.

As for the adults: We certainly had a good time.

And Nokey Nose: I bought the cereal, too. It was only $2.50, and I'm a sucker.
