MNSSHP - Costume or not?
Thinking about hitting one of the party's in early Oct. Not a big costume type, and I absolutely HATE masks.
How out of place will I feel not in costume? I'm looking at dinner in EPCOT then over to MK plus it's a pain to have to put something together and pack it down.

Re: MNSSHP - Costume or not?
We went to the P&P party with simple eye patches and pirate bandannas. It was fun to have a costume when we arrived. As the night went on, the costumes came off and we felt completely comfortable without.
it might be different for the Halloween party, but at P&P, it was about a 50/50 mix of people who had some sort of costume and those who didn't.

Re: MNSSHP - Costume or not?
You will not be out of place without a costume on. The first time we dressed up, the second and thrid time we just wore Halloween Shirts (amazingly you can buy them there!!).

Re: MNSSHP - Costume or not?
Ditto!!
You will not feel out of place without a costume! I think a child may feel a little left out without one (depending on how young) - but an adult would be just fine! I always dress up my DS4. Sometimes my DH and I dress up, sometimes we just go in regular cloths. No matter what, you will have a BLAST!!!

I don't think I will be wearing a costume. We thought about it but similar to you, we have plans before hand.
We'll probably buy something at the park when we get there.

Re: MNSSHP - Costume or not?
My two youngest will be in costumes, but my oldest daughter, who is 12, my husband and I will all be in T-shirts I am making just for the occasion. We will be eating at Le Cellier before the party, so I bet they aren't interested in a family of 5 dressed up in costumes eating steak at their restaurant!

Re: MNSSHP - Costume or not?
Do not worry about not wearing a costume. I was cringing at the thought of wearing a costume when I decided to wear a princess t-shirt and tiara. I will still be in my comfy park clothes but I will feel dressed up.
DH said he just wanted to wear a "This is my costume" T shirt. We did come up with something else but he is not wearing a "costume" either. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lisa

Re: MNSSHP - Costume or not?
You would not be out of place. We went last year, and did not dress up. It was about 50 - 50. We bought the Halloween T-shirts, and wore them. We are on the fence for doing a small costume this year (Mousketeer T-shirts and ears). Not sure though.
