Waiting for codes??

I am not sure how to phrase this, but... Does anyone already have ressies for Aug. (or later months) in hopes the codes will drop the room rate? Can you make the ressies now and then call ack with the new codes for a beter rate? How is that generally done?

Hi, I have our reservations made for May, but still patiently waiting for the Annual Pass Rates to come out. Soon as they are posted, I will difinateyl call, and try to get a better rate. I did use the code AXA for May, but I always do better with the APDiscount. You can always make your reservations, this way you have the dates you want, and the Resort you want to stay at . I am trying to be very patient about when they will be releasing the AP rates, but sometimes I guess we all get a little anxious!!! :nervous Good Luck, Let me know how you make out?????!!!:) JOANN

I also have made reservations for June, w/out any discounts. I used Disney Central's sponser Mouseketrips, and they will call and change my reservations whenever the discount codes come out. In fact, my reservations have already been updated once w/the code mentioned above. I've heard the codes are not out as soon this year as they were last year. I did hear someone say they called to check on their reservations, and the CM said the AP rates for summer should be coming out soon!

I hope a better discount comes out soon because even though we got the AXA I was hoping for steeper discounts for our may trip. I feel like i check here and at mousesavers every few hours.
Oh well some discount is better than none.

I feel the same way!! We've added an extra day, PLUS an extra room in hopes of the deep discounts for AP holders(For our June trip). I'm keeping my fingers crossed. So many wierd things are happening this year at WDW. Employees hours cut/park hours cut, parades and fireworks sometimes being cancelled. I'm just hoping they are still going to offer room discounts for AP holders!!!!!!!!!:nervous

I am so glad that I am not the only one that is getting impatient!!The code I used was ok, but as everyone has said, I am looking for a better deal. Come on Annual Pass Rates, I think you've made us wait long enough!!!!!! Joann:nervous

I want to stay at WL for 7 nights in Aug. I only have a ressie for 4 nights as we speak. I don't know if I should add the other 3 nights now and hope a code comes out, or just wait for the code and then add it. I don't want to lose my room for the last 3 nights. Whew!:dazed That was a mouseful! Any advice?

By the way Angie...I feel like I am checking here every few hours as well!:D

I made my ressies for Dec. 2003 about a month ago through Mousesavers. There is good chance that the same discounts offered last year will be offered again this year so I'm just waiting and hoping for a discount!

I've made my reservations, adding on the extra day, and 2nd room, knowing that I can cancel w/in 5 days if those rates do not come out. Make sure you find out the cancellation policy. I'm not sure who I am booked w/ - I left all that good stuff to Mickey and Mouseketrips. But I know when you call the reservation lines, you could possibly be talking to 2 different reservation Companys? I don't know which one is best as far as cancelation policies, but it has been mentioned here before.

I will cancel the extra day and room if no AP rates come out, because it is not in our budget w/out the rates. Of course, I just realized that if you are flying down, this would not work out for you. Because of changing flights and such. Good luck in what ever you decide to do!!

Thank you goofygal. We are staying 7 nights regardless. I have the 4 nights at WL and 3 at POR. We have three small children and we are thinking it might be easier on us to just stay at the WL for all 7. I booked thru a TA, and I think the cancellation policy only applies if I sign a contract...which I haven't yet.

Maybe I should just tell my TA what I have in mind. Does it irrate TA when customers change their minds? This is only second mind change.:o

CRO = five day cancelation policy, pay upon arrival
WDTC = 45 day payment policy, and I believe cancelation as well.

I can't say enough good about booking through a Disney certified travel agency - they are VERY familiar with Disney's pricing policy, and are comfortable with making frequent changes. The best ones will even do it for you, without you calling them (such as, keep track if you are an AP holder, and reduce rates when the AP rates are announced)

Thank you MickeyMac I knew someone would have that information. When I just go for a weekend trip, I usually just call and plan it myself. But this year, our first week long trip, I decided to go with a TA that was in the know of all things Disney. (Mouseketrips) I like this, because I didn't have to call when codes came out, they got in contact w/me to tell me they had a lower rate, and would also contact me when the AP rates came out. I feel much more comfortable knowing they are looking out for me. :D That's one less worry for me to deal w/in the everyday crazy world I live in:dazed

***Still patiently awaiting the release of those ever so popular AP rates:whistle: :angel ***

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one neurotic about these codes. Joann, forgive my failing memory but I know we will be there at the same time and I can't remember if I asked you where you are staying. We are staying in the Polynesian through the 18th of may. Where are you staying?

Rates for October / November

Not to add to the anxiety but I too am just dying for updates. We are looking into going later in the year when the crowds are better.

The problem is the lack of discount rate information available that far in advance which will definitely effect the hotel that we choose:cry: AND the events scheduling. We do not want to get caught up in the Super Soaps Weekend mess:cry:  since this is why we go off season to avoid the crowds but Disney hasn't announced special events this far in advance.

I usually have this vacation planned by now and it is killing me to wait .

I feel like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming truck. I actually am so stuck that I haven't made any reservations.

Any thoughts on what we should do??::dazed

What is the charge for some of the services that have been mentioned here like Mouseketrips? It could be worth it if I can sleep nights.:hmmm
