? about batteries for those flashing necklaces

Does anyone know what type of battery is used in those necklaces? I think when I had asked I was told they last about 12 hrs, but the batteries could be replaced. I thought I could bring an extra set with me. 12 hrs over the course of a week doesn't give that much time to use it each night.

I'll have to look at my DS's if I can find it. We left it in the suitcase after our trip last summer and it still worked when I pulled our suitcases out in May so we took it back with us and my DS used it a couple of nights on a second trip. So far it's made it through a 13 day trip and a 10 day trip and it was still running strong.

Wow, that's a whole lot more than 12 hrs !!!! Of course I'm thinking about my DGD. I thinking we could hook the necklace onto her stroller somehow. Those little skinny glowsticks that you get at the dollar store have connectors that I've afraid she'll eat. I'm also looking at those fat glow sticks (like for camping) that have an "eye" to thread a string thru. Ebay has some pretty good prices, I just don't know if I want to buy 50 of them.

Do you have a Home Depot? Ours always has glow sticks at the check out area, they're more than you will find on ebay but if you only want 4-6 it's not too bad.

DisneyTeacher and lovemysons, thanks for the help.

After hearing long your's lasted, maybe I'll just take the chance that they will still work. Watch batteries can be expensive too. We'll see, I'll check prices next time I'm out.

I know! Sometimes those batteries are more expensive than the toy they were in! I know Walmart has pretty cheap prices on them, and, if you have Meijer's where you are, they are pretty cheap there too.

That sounds like the easiest plan, I bet you will make it through the trip on one set of batteries. If you don't you can buy something else or just go w/o it.

Re: ? about batteries for those flashing necklaces

We bought some on e-bay. Much cheaper than buying at a store.
