I am almost at the chain mark!
I am right now at 68 days you know what that means?? Time to make the countdown chain!!!!! Me and my DD are getting our chain supplies this weekend and getting our chain up. We start pulling chain links on the 60th day before our trip.....it's getting closer!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry all...I'm really getting excited now!

LOL, I love it! My kids have a chain for 'when grandma gets here', it's only got 3 links left. I have mentally added one link for my DL trip
 My mom arrives Sunday, and I leave Monday for DL, but only my DS12 is going on this trip with me. DD4 and DS3 know DS12 and I are going on a trip to Southern California, but so far I have avoided having to tell them anything specific about what we will do in So Cal, lol. They are thrilled that grandma is coming  We will make a WDW chain, but I'm not sure when. You see, they don't even know yet and 2 months is WAY too long for them to know. It just may be a surprise, lol.

Making the chain is a WDW tradition for me and my DD. We take a great deal of time to do it up good. We change the color of the links every ten days to make it more special....we always can't wait to get to the red links...that is the last ten days and single digit dancing! We made a trip chain for a 100 days once and that took to long, so now we only do it 60 days out. I'm so excited about this trip....ok I'm excited about every trip..lol

I have a picture in my mind of what you are talking about, but I would love it if you could be more specific. I hit the 30 day mark tomorrow and I think my DD's would love this. Although they barely understand the time thing, I think it is a great tradition to start as well. Seeing that we will be making frequent trips now that we are DVC members.
Is this like the chains made out of paper that we used to make in school around the holidays? Where do you hang them from? Please share, it sounds so great!
