Re: Unofficial Guide for Grown Ups

You should research as much as you can before you go... in my opinion, WDW is best enjoyed when you have planned every last minute ahead of time, then arrive witht he intention of being complete flexible!!! LOL!

Re: Unofficial Guide for Grown Ups

I have the regular Unofficial Guide and Birnbaums so I'm wondering if this is worth getting in addition to that.

Re: Unofficial Guide for Grown Ups

I just read the reviews on Amazon.com and it does not look like it is worth it. It is also not very current. Here is a bit from one of the reviews.

Everything this guide recommends seems to have more to do with spending lots of money and avoiding children at all costs than enjoying the parks. Its recommended visiting times seem highly out of sync with the original Guide's attendance calendars And the author seems to feel that no adult could possibly enjoy some of the sillier and kitschier attraction and souvenirs

Re: Unofficial Guide for Grown Ups

I've read this book....and I wouldn't recommend it.

If you can get your hands on a copy to borrow from the library or something, great. But I wouldn't pay for it. As Julie mentioned, it's not very updated...and what the review said was dead-on. This book isn't very helpful. It basically tells you where to go and where not to go, assuming you hate children and are far too mature for most classic Disney attractions. It also assumes that you have no budget.

Me no likey. Who says adults can't enjoy the simpler stuff too? And who says we're all rich?

Re: Unofficial Guide for Grown Ups

I've read that all the spin-off Unofficial Guides don't live up to their name. Your best bet is stick with the orginal Unofficial Guide, which is easily tailored to your needs.

Re: Unofficial Guide for Grown Ups

I used it last year. I found it helpful. It seems that this years isthe same as last ( not updated ) if you want it I can give it to you. It is just collected dust.
