No WDW for us this year.

The doc is making me cancel our trip to WDW this year until after the baby is born. On the upside it gives me that much longer to use my Disney visa and save for an even better trip next year! Sniff...I'm trying to put on a brave front. Thank God I didn't tell my kids where vacation was this year! I think my DD figured it out tho and she said that she would rather have a baby than go this year, but we had to go with the baby next year. Smart girl that one! Well I am off to earn rewards on my visa so I can have a fabulous trip next year. I will still be around the board tho! Have fun to all those that are going this year.:)

You must be heartbroken. I remember getting so MAD when people told me what I could and could not do while I was pregnant. :devil

But..the most important thing is a healthy Mom and a healthy baby. I wish you all the BEST! Sunshine and warm breezes, too!

You know, there's something really sad in reading about a person called 'Disneyholic' having to break their vacation plans to Disney...

Then I read again - it's because of your BABY!!! that's the best news of all! Can you imagine how thick her baby book is going to be? :D

I'm so sorry disneyholic, that is the total pits. I know it's better to be safe than sorry, and next year you will have lots of fun introducing the new baby to the wonders of disney

Heck, if that's what you need, then do me a favor... stick around. :D I've seen so many people leave Disney boards simply because they don't have a vacation in the works. They are usually the ones that don't see Disney magic as a way of life! :D

Besides, Matto will want dibs on picking out the Halloween costumes...

I have obviously seen one too many Disney commercials during the Wonderful World of Disney tonight...

I know that it has to be disappointing not going to Disney this year but just think of that little bundle of joy that you will soon have and the MAGIC that he or she will bring to you and your family. Your DD is very smart she gets to be the BIG SIS and she can teach the little one all about Disney and "show her the ropes" when ya'all go next year. :)

Yes by all means stick around! You can pine away with the rest of us longing for our next trip. Just check out the countdown clocks! Some are as short as a couple of days and some are in excess of 400 DAYS! :)

Sorry you have to cancel your plans! A nice Disney vacation would have been just the cure for the time you go into "I am starting to be tired of being pregnant" stage. ;) :D

Your vacation will be here before you know it! :)

So sorry to hear you have to cancel, Disneyholic! We have to replace our well, and my husband joked we would have to cancel our vacation. I promptly went to the bathroom and threw up. Not because I am pregnant, but the thought sickened me.:D

Anyway, I wanted to let you know I went to Disneyland when I was 4.5 months pregnant with my third. It was not a terrible trip cuz hey we were in Disney, but I felt like I was constantly thinking about the baby. Couldn't go on fun attractions and I was nervous on the ones I could go on. I was still a little queasy, so I had a hard time enjoying all the yummy foods. And yes!, I was tired. I think my DD and DS outlasted me. We certainly had a great time, but I will have a much better time this August knowing the baby is in the stroller and not in my belly.:D

Rack up those points and blow it all on the new baby and your DD! And Congrats! Very exciting for your family.

So sorry you had to cancel, but happy to know why. I'll never forget the days our two DD were born-you wouldn't have thought that many tears of joy could flow from one man's eyes! And, now, even thought they're only 8 and 11, they're both DC members.:heart :)

Congrats on the baby, better safe than sorry take it from someone who knows! I had to have an emergency C-Section with my DD and would have been terified if I would have been away from home. Now see me, I'm trying to plan the conception of our next child around our 2005 trip. Meaning do I want a 1 year old or be pregnant on the trip. (I'm a little nuts!)
