I have a few friends who don't quite get the obsession...It's not my girlfriends, every single of of them love it (this is because I talk about it all the time for years - and FINALLY they are like...ERIN! WE LOVE IT, TOO!)

Y'all might remember my recent conversion of Mary.

It's the guy friends. All the husbands of my girlfriends - they ALL don't "like" or "get" the obsession.

Whatever! Stay home! LOL! More for me, I say

My stepdad can't STAND WDW. My mom could take it or leave it. WE took them with us a few years ago - and, my stepdad refuses to go back. Weird.

I just don't understand it.

I'm a lucky girl, though - because we all know Matt is a total Disney freak, that canNOT be stopped once he gets in the Disney groove!

I just don't understand it.

I think it's overwhelming to a lot of people. Especially first-timers that go with no plans at all and no idea what they're going to be dealing with. They end up standing an hour in the Splash Mountain line at 1 p.m., because they don't know about "fastpass", get mad at all the other lines, end up at the Tiki Birds cause it's the only thing they can get in and then go home and announce how much they hate it. Unfortunately we can't reach them all - we do the best we can - but we're only one little site...

when people tell me they do not like WDW, i really look at them like they are crazy.....most of the time they are people who have never been there

Yup....I know a guy who hates Disney World. He went there one time and said it was too full of bratty children. Will never go again.
I actually think he just hates Florida all together (he's from Canada and says it's just too dang hot!).

My DH! He's been 3 times - all when he was a kid with his parents. I don't know WHAT they did to him, but something must have warped him horribly! Whenever I go down to WDW, I have to go with friends (which I'll be doing in just over a month!

An friend told me that at 41 I should grow up. Disney is for kids. I guess I'm still a kid. Can't wait for December 2, 2006

YES! I work with a bunch of INSANE people!!

They don't understand why people want to go there for a vacation, even my neighbor said: "Disney is not my idea of a vacation!!"
They roll their eyes at us "disney freaks" and ask "why dont you go somewhere else for a change, there's a whole world out there and you go to Disney every year!!!"

and then they pass that mentality on to their kids and say "my kids dont even want to go, they aren't into the princesses or other characters"

Ive heard people talk this 1 person out of going and into going somewhere else!

I had a guy come back from a Disney cruise and give me a DVC Member hat he was given, because he knew I was "weird" about WDW.
