I saw this on Allearsnet and think it's a fabulous idea. I hope Disney can get this up and running soon.

"COMING SOON -- PhotoPass on attractions! Those pictures taken as you drop 13 floors in the Tower of Terror, or as you spin around Buzz Lightyear's galaxy, will hopefully have a PhotoPass component in the next 6-12 months. Test Track may be the first one online by the end of the year!"

We have only purchased 1 ride photo, from Splash Mountain. I just can't see paying so much $ for an 8x10 photo. If we could get all of the attraction photos through PhotoPass and incorporate them into the Personalized DVD Movie you can make and purchase on the DisneyPhotoPass web site, that would be great! I think they should also have the same PhotoPass option for the photos taken at O'Hana Breakfast and Hoop-De-Doo for instance.

Speaking of the Personalized DVD Movie, we made one from our own photos that you upload to the site, as well as some of the PhotoPass photos taken, and for $49.95 (plus shipping) we received a really awesome movie with animation, music, and special effects incorporated throughout the entire video. Plus they create a nice still slideshow of all the pictures you uploaded with nice Disney music in the background.

Has anyone ever created a movie? I know some of you purchased a CD for around $99 with just your still pictures. The movie is something you do when you get home. You can have up to 7 chapters and 112 pictures.

My question...do you get to include all 4 theme parks, Beyond the Parks, & Slide Show in your movie? It says it has 7 customized chapters. What are they?

This sounds WONDERFUL...I'm gonna have to do it in December!

I have yet to even try photo pass..lol I will have to get around to it this trip maybe. I love the concept of this too.

I had seen this about a year ago in it's trial phase and they didn't have a whole lot of info on it!

What's great is you are uploading all your own photos, so now, you can even go back to past trips/years and make movies from those. I'm actually considering to our last trip, and definately will do our next one!

To get the 7 customized chapters, and by all means create all 7 (as a co-worker of mine only created 5 or 6), I created 2 MK chapters, 2 Epcot chapters, 1 AK, 1 Studios, and 1 Beyond the Parks. The MK chapter holds the most pictures (I think), and the "beyond" chapter holds the least (7 or 9 pictures). So, if you want to take advantage of the amount of pictures the movie is capable of, then do 2 chapters of the larger sections.

In one of the chapters I used a photo from our trip last year. I did a little creative editing to the picture in PhotoShop and used it back-to-back with a current picture from this year. It added that "special touch" to the movie.

I can't wait until next year to make one. I am going to have lots of PhotoPass pictures taken, so maybe I'll be in more than one photo (I'm always the one behind the lens).

Yay, I am glad to hear a good report on this. I am planning to make the DVD with the pictures from the trip we just took. It looks super cute!

And thanks for the update on attraction photos. I was thinking it would be great if they could work those into photopass somehow!

Know when you go into the parks and they have the CMs taking your pics all over the place? Remember when they used to give you a ticket and told you to go to the photo shop later in the day to check out y our pics? And you'd have a gizillion tickets?!? Well, not anymore! Now you get an actual PLASTIC card that you can put ALL of your pics on. The first time you have your picture taken by a CM, they will put it on a PhotoPass card and give it to you. Then, all you have to do, is have your picture taken ALL DAY LONG by the photographers all over the park...and just hand over your PhotoPass! ALL of your pics will be in one spot!

Get this...you also don't need to decide on which pics you want to buy right then and there. You can decide once you get home! You sign onto the website and enter a password. There, you can order any of your pics and even create awesome borders with character autographs, too!

AND they have a CD they sell you at the parks for $99. No matter HOW many pics you have taken. As of right now, it DOESN'T include the ride photos yet, but it DOES include Bibbity Bobbity Boutique, and I am thinking that adding the rides to it will come soon enough. That alone might make more people buy it! Oh, when you buy the CD, you own the rights to all the photos. Only catch is, you CAN'T add the decorative borders and autographs. You used to be able to do it...just ask MickeyRon! He ended up with over 500 pictures because he used the same picture and added different borders and sigs to each one! He really got a deal! They stopped that REAL quick!

AND last but not least, you can even get your pics put onto a DVD. And not only do you use your photopass pics from your present trip, you can even upload YOUR OWN pics if you want!

It's pretty awesome.

Are they going to start doing that in Disneyland too? Cuz we always ended up with so many of those darn tickets...LOL...and then we'd lose them!

iluvwdw clearly explained it all. Next year I will probably buy both the $99 CD of all the PhotoPass pictured, AND make another DVD movie.

It would be a great idea if Disney changed and added new special features to the movie yearly so those of us who do purchase the movie every year or so get a little variety. Hmmm, maybe I email them with this suggestion.
