WDW Busy in October??

OK, quick question...to make sure I'm right! Isn't October a good time to go to WDW? The crowds aren't so bad then, are they? Have to ask this answer for my sister, as everyone is telling her that October is a bad time to go because it is always so busy!!:dazed

WDW Busy in October??

I have been to WDW in Oct once and have friends who have gone twice and we were very happy with the crowd situation. A little more crowded than the first week in December, which is when we usually go, but certainly not a problem.
According to the attendance charts that I have seen on another site, it is one of the least crowded times of the year.

By the way, we are going in Oct this year!

Thank you!! I thought it was ideally a good time to go. My sister Fiances family is taking his niece for her 2nd birthday. It's her first trip there, and they were worried about the crowds. I told them not to worry, but that I"d check just to make sure. Of course I'll be headed over there w/them when they go, most likely the first weekend in October!! I have to get good use out of my AP!! Thanks again for responding so quickly!!

Went in OCt. to DW, crowds were ok, but we had problems with rain, due to a hurricane that was coming to an end. It seemed Orlando was having that annoying on again off again rain. So, the poncho's did get a good work out. The day we left, was just beautiful.. Doesn't that figure. !!!????:( You just never know about the weather, so you just roll with the flow, and have a great time!!!! JOANN

We were there in Oct 2001 (21-28th) and crowds were moderate. We used fast pass to our advantage and the popular attractions had waits of about 30-45 mins. There was a large number of guests from the UK, Scotland and Whales as it was half term for the schools there. The one thing that shocked us was the temperatures... I guess we were there during an unseasonably hot time because the mercury soared around 90 most days! There were some comfortable days but we were expecting more fall type weather.

My sister and I were just talking about the weather in October. We live in Florida. She said she'll still go in October, but it's still gonna be hot. She'd rather go in Jan/Feb when it's actually kinda cool!! Sometimes we get lucky and get some cooler weather in october.

We have been during October 3 or 4 times over the years and LOVED it. It is a great time of year to go.

We took our son for his first trip on his 2nd birthday, also. He had such a great time!

Each trip we stayed about 8 days, and never had a day of rain! Lucky, I guess, but the weather was always great!!

Crowds we always minimal. Never waited more than 15 - 20 minutes for most rides and some we just walked right on......
Oh, I miss those pre-school days when we could vacation ANYTIME we wanted to. It's hard getting used to those summer crowds! Oh well, I'll take them, I love WDW!!

We go in October every year to celebrate our anniversary:love: . The crowds are lighter, and the weather a little cooler. I think you will enjoy that time of the year. Have fun, I will (I'll be there the first week)
