Got a weird problem. Bear with me while I try to explain it.
I'm going to WDW on honeymoon in two weeks, but we never did get all the info they were supposed to mail out to us. The last trip my family took to WDW was 7 years ago. We've moved since then. When my mom called to book the trip for us, the lady on the other end said, "So you're still at blahblah address, right?" and rattled off our old address. (Which I found just a little creepy, anyway.) Mom corrected it, and finished making the reservation. A month later when we hadn't received anything, we called them back. "Okay, you're at (old address), right?" We corrected it yet again, and they said they'd send out all the stuff again, since it'd been sent to our old address. I had read on one of the forums (can't remember if it was this one or another) that you should receive the tags for the Magical Express by about three weeks out. So last week I called again, to see if there was a problem. I find out that they'd sent out the stuff to, you guessed it, the old address. The lady corrected it in the computer, but at this point, I don't have much hope of whatever paperwork I'm supposed to get, getting here on time, if ever. I'm really confused, because I ordered tickets for MNSSHP off the website, and they came to the correct address. And even more confusing, I got a letter telling us that one of the pools at All-Star Movies (where we made the reservation at) is going to be closed while we're there. And this is not what we've experienced with Disney before. So I have two questions: --Most importantly, can I get by without the confirmation package (I think she called it) and Magical Express luggage tags? Since we're getting in late at night, we're claiming our own luggage, but will we be able to get on the bus? and --Has anyone else had something like this happen? This is just really weird that their computers are clinging so stubbornly to the old address. Thanks for listening, and sorry this got so long. |

Re: Computer problems?
I would be on the phone every minute of the day until those tickets arrived! Hang in there, you will get them!

Re: Computer problems?
I would call ME directly...Magical Express - 407-939-7675
Then call reservations again and ask them to overnight the information to you.

Re: Computer problems?
I agree with the others. I think it is perfectly acceptable to ask Disney to overnight the stuff to you since they are the ones that had the computer problem. We had a problem for our 2004 trip and ended up not getting our stuff until check in, but my situation was a little different. We moved after I had made the reservations and even though I called and updated our address, everything was sent to the old address. When I got back from the trip, I also had my final documents from Disney and Universal waiting for me at home since they made it through the forwarding process while I was on vacation. Everything would probably be fine if you arrived without the confirmation, but I think for peace of mind, I would definitely ask them to overnight it.

Re: Computer problems?
Just wanted to thank everybody for their help.
I called today, and the gentleman on the phone told me that since I only had accomodations (I did forget to mention that originally. Oops, sorry.) I wouldn't have any problems. Just check in at the welcome desk at the airport, and be sure to have my ID when I check in to the hotel. I really do appreciate all the help. |

Re: Computer problems?
As mentioned, you will be fine. Just go grab your luggage and head over to the welcome desk. They will check you in and take your luggage from you if you wish, or you can put it on the bus with you.
Have a great honeymoon!

Re: Computer problems?
Congratulations on the wedding and honeymoon. Glad it all worked out, we also had a lot of "computer problems" this past trip. They had us staying for over two months,(would of been nice
) kids names and ages were wrong, I must of called them 8 times and it still was not correct. I too had to call DME, my self to get out days for the right days.To make a long story short, things worked out and we had a great time.
