Another when to go question, I need help!
Hi everyone!
I have great news, it looks like we will hopefully be going back to WDW next year!  The problem is when to go. We been going in early May, but this past trip getting back in the swing of things was really hard to do....with the kids with soccer, t ball, laundry etc. So we are thinking of going after the kids get out of school (around June 8). I know this time will be busy, but we can go for a few more days longer and after we get back the kids will be already on vacation. Are the crowds really all that bad or would they be better in late August, right before Labor day weekend? We are not really worried about the heat factor. Should we just go in May and take the kids out of school. I don't really want to go in the debate of taking them out of school(there was just on thread on this a couple of weeks ago  ) Or should we go in June and have a longer vacation?Sorry to be soooo long winded, but I'm having a tough time making a decision!!  Thanks for any help!

If you can go in late August, there will be very few crowds, and you have a great chance of getting a good discount (this year, the free dining was available for much of August). With more and more schools starting early, August has become a great time to go. It will be hot, but at least it won't be crowded.

I think crowd-wise you will be best off in the last week of August. The prices are a bit lower as well. It's value season then and you will be able to stay longer for cheaper. The down-side is the possible hurricanes and the humidity...August is seriously one of the hottest months to go.

If August is an option, definitely go - you'll enjoy it! But, that being said - A longer vacation in June won't be horrible! It WILL be busy - but, you know that...if you don't mind - go for it!
 Longer is better than shorter, right?

We went Sept 16-23 - I did pull the girls out of school, but it was worth it.
The longest wait we had was approx. 20 minutes, which is nothing... Oh and I loved the idea of free dining.. I am hoping to take advantage of this again in a few years...

You seemed iffy about May. You said it was hard to get back in the swing of things, etc. - so, that's the main reason I stayed away from that option. I think May is a great option - but, not if you're going to feel stressed when you get home.

I vote for May, I love the weather, I love the crowd levels and I think the prices are veryt reasonable. I'm totally hooked on May but I might give August more consideration after reading everyone's posts. How much longer of a trip are you talking about?
