Hello Nicola. Welcome to here. You will quickly learn, I am not the fountain of information for which I am constantly mistaken. (lol)

Ok - I do not know the answers you seek, but wanted to welcome you here and know you will get the info you need. We just celebrated a wedding w/ 'Bella and the Dave last week.

You are too cool to be planning this. Good luck - and have a magical wedding.

I don't know if they do them at that time or not, but know that you will be paying a serious amount of money to do it then as it is the busiest time of the year at WDW. I would contact a wedding coordinator at WDW and ask them. Welcome to mousebuzz too BTW. Start you own account so we can get to know you.

Re: Getting married in Walt Disney World

Your ideas for the wedding sound incredible. I definitely would call disney's wedding planners. They will go over the details and give you a starting point.

A friend of mine's brother is getting married at Grand Floridian in December. They had a wedding planner help arrange everything. They are having a mid morning ceremony and the reception afterwards in the ballroom. It is on a Thursday because it would have been $5000-$10,000 more for a weekend. They are having under 100 people, a brunch, and the original cost came to almost $40,000. They revised some things to save money and it still was over $30,000. I believe that when you marry at disney they require you to have X amount of nights booked at their hotels. If you dont have enough nights booked (meaning your guests booking and telling reservations it is for that wedding) then the people paying for the event would have to pay the difference of the # of nights not met. So that $30,000 plus number did not include the hotel nights. It does not include the rehearsal dinner as well.

Your ideas, like I said, sound incredible. Just be ready to have a pretty big price tag to go along with it.

Good Luck and let us know how things go ...we love disney weddings!

Or...
you can do it like I did. Take a friend who is a notary, stop in front of the castle, say your vows, sign your marriage license, go ride splash mountain.

Worked for me! LOL
