Okay, I know I'm not going back to WDW until October 2005 BUT this will be our DD's 5th birthday and we REALLY want to make it special. Do you have any suggestions on special things to do??

I want to get a ball park figure on how much to start saving so I kind of need a rough idea of what we are going to do. We want to do 10 days at WL. SO I guess another question is how much $$ will room & tickets be (roughly I know rates change).

I got this idea off of Gifts of a Life time. I can not afford to order it myself right now, but I have made one up myself. Have a disney themed Gift Basket delivered to the room (I am going to sneak in before we "check into the room" and put it on the bed for him to see right when we check in.) I have it filled w/so many little things. My mother found a DIsney outlet store in orlando mall, and picked up mickey notepads that say "a note from brandon", mickey stickers w/his name on them,disney pencils,a mickey ruler w/his name on it, and some other little things. I bought him a plush mickey to go in it, a Buzz towel w/a buzz beachball, a buzz mini fan that lights up. (he's also getting the bathing suit and sandles to match the towel as an early bday present the first day we check in)

I've also bought some disney themed party decorations. Table cloth to go over our table in our room. Plastic party cups that match. Also a banner to hang up in the windows. (i saw this on our last trip) I'd like to find some disney bday window clings, too!

I've also made him a disney bday shirt to wear (iron on) to MK that day!

Of course you know to do a PS for her bday!!! I've just called to find out about that for my son's bday at chef mickeys. We are going there on his actual bday. We are going to order a cake, w/mickey on it(or you can choose minnie), and the kids will get a bday button and a place mat w/all the characters from chef mickey's signatures.

I've heard Hoop Dee Do is a really good thing to do for bdays too. Also, I like the idea of a cruise, i forget what they are called. Illuminasions cruise, and I think Breathless cruise. It's around $100.00 or so I think. They sound really neat, and you can have food and balloons, but that is extra.

OHHH, also, Gifts of a Lifetime (or Fair God MOthers??) will do a "Treasure Hunt" for the kids. I know this can be quite pricey, but if you have the time to save, this is a REALLY good idea. You can go to their site and request a price and ideas now, so you'll know what to expect. I have read a few trip reports w/parents who have done that for their little ones, and they said it was so magical!!!

Okay you should open up your own business!!! These were great ideas!! I guess that is why we aren't going for 2 years because it is going to take me a year to decided exactly what I want to do.

BTW... We may (I STRESS MAY) have another bundle of joy by then who MAY be say between 6 months - 1 year old so how much would that change things??

How exciting! That would be a great trip. Could be baby's 1st trip to WDW AND daughters special Bday!!! :-)

Of course, you'd have to make up a little basket for the baby too, no matter how old at the time!! Just put in more baby related Disney stuff!!:D They have so many cute baby disney stuff, hats and outfits!!!

Other than that, I don't see any problems with any of your regular plans. You know that at any meals, kids (under 3?) eat free

If you did the Scavenger Hunt, little brother or sister(depending on age) could help out big sis!!!! (OK, now that i'm thinking about this, I *really* want to do one for my son!! :whistle: hehe I may just need to go there( giftsofalifetime.com and price it out!)

You know from experience, that you will need to take extra breaks. But w/a small baby it's really easier than a toddler since you can bring your own stroller and baby can nap and be comfy there!

I just love planning fun things at WDW!! You are gonna have a blast planning this vacation!!!!!

WBG...Don't worry! We have tons of infant tips when the time comes! Remember, I took my boy at 4 months and again at 8 months with no problem at all.

Picture your little girl dressed up as her favorite princess. Picture walking through a deserted Magic Kingdom to a beautiful castle. Picture your little girl meeting her favorite princess. I think a wonderful way to celebrate her birthday would be to take her to Cinderella's to meet all her favorite story characters.

Makes me want to have a little girl!:)

Thanks Trish that was a great visual. I can see her dresses as Cinderella running toward the castle. She wasn't really into the princesses until we went to WDW and now all she talks about are Cinderella and Belle (she actually met those two). Both Sundays since then when we get her dressed for church she says she is Cinderella and spins around in her little dress. (TOO CUTE!!) :D :heart :cry:

I bought her an adorable "Princess Universitee" tshirt off ebay that has crown on it and she calls that her Cinderella shirt. I love shopping for her clothes. Actually I go a little over board but I can't help it the clothes are just too darn cute!! :whistle:
