Man falls/jumps off tram

A man was hurt today when he jumped off a Magic Kingdom parking lot tram to get a stroller that had falled off. He was taken to the hospital but it looks like he's doing well. Poor family, I'm sure this is going to put a damper on their vacation but this could have been so much worse.

Re: Man falls/jumps off tram

Maybe they should do the little precautionary message on the tram like they do on the rides:
Please remain seated and keep hands, arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times. And, of course, en espanol-
Mantangese sus manos,brazos y piernas....
(oops, I forgot, I can't speak spanish)

All I can say is, how dumb. Glad he's o.k., but when does it ever make sense to jump from a moving vehicle. I'm sure he could have gotten the tram driver to stop.

Oh man, poor guy!
They DO have a precautionery message on the tram, but I guess instinct just told him to get the stroller.
Hope he's ok!

Re: Man falls/jumps off tram

On Oct. 18 or 19 (I can't remember which day) a man in the stands at the car stunt show in MGM had a heart attack. They stopped the show and asked everyone to leave. I never heard anymore about the incident. Hope he is o.k.

It's comforting to know someone had the same first thought as I did.

I'm glad he's going to be ok - but honestly, why don't people THINK! I see more dumb things at WDW than anywhere else. I guess people get so caught up in the excitement they just stop thinking.

Re: Man falls/jumps off tram

As someone who stayed off-site last month, and rode the trams in from the parking lot every day (some days twice a day) - they do tell you not to try to retrieve any dropped items. They say it over, and over, and over, and.... I finally wanted to yell "we get it, ok?!?" This must be why they say it over and over.
There's no cars driving in the tram lane, so a dropped item should stay there until the next tram retrieves it. Poor guy, guess he was afraid of loosing his expensive stroller. I hope he's ok.

It is comforting, isn't it?

The story has been corrected to say it was a camera he jumped after, not a stroller--but still, moving is moving...poor guy. I'm glad he'll be okay.

Re: Man falls/jumps off tram

That is so sad!
People need to think though.. Never ever will u catch me jumping off anything for a stroller. They would of stoped the cart if he asked them to. Well lets just be happy that he is and hopefully be okay.
In his defense the tram never looks like its moving fast.
