Disney certificates at my DD's school!!

Cool news for me today. My DD's school has a gift certificate fund raising program that they run all year. Each $1 purchased amounts to a percentage off your tuition each year. My parents buy Acme ones and to places they shop regularly to help me out. At christmas time, I totally sell these things to everyone. People use them as gifts etc for the holidays season. My aunt just got a few hundred off me for Disck's sporting goods for exercise equipment she is getitng for my cousin for xmas.. We have tons of places listed. Anyway on to the good news for me. They added the disney store as a special order in incriments of $25, $100 and $1000 and they can be used for tickets etc. I get %7 back to take off my tuition...hello special savings for my trip in August. I get to go to Disney and save on tuition. I am Super thrilled that they (the school) finally added a card I can buy and actually use..lol Sorry just excited and wanted to share.

Oh just so everyone is clear. I am not selling certificates on here...jsut excited that I get to buy stuff for my trip and save on tuition.

Yeah. I am totally excited. I love that I can save my money for my trip and save on the tuition next year when I am going to need it. I wish you could use these in the parks..that would rock, but I can at least use them to get tickets and disney dollars to use in the parks...sounds like a plan stan.

Yes, they are sold at the Disney store, so I can use the certificates for them. It's for anything sold in the disney store. I can buy tickets and DD there so that's something. If I could use them online (disney.com), I would buy the trip online and forgo renting the points solely for the purpose of saving tuition $$ for next year. I will have to read the paper again to make sure, but I think it has to be at the disney store....stay tuned. My totaly package on disney.com came out to be like $2,400 or something.. 7% of that would come off my tuition for next year...that rocks if I can do it. That's almost one month's tuition...almost..lol

I want to check the online payment options first to be sure. I don't ever remember seeing a certificate otpion as payment when I purchased a package with them before...I want to be certain before I start buying them like crazy. If it's true, that fantastic. We just got notice that tution is going up $600 next year, so any savings at this point is a good savings..lol

Thanks for sharing in my excitement all. I am totally pumped about this. I have already informed my family that they would make perfect gifts for me for christmas..lol

I just went through the booking process to make sure and yes, I can use them. According to the site (disney.com), I can also use these in the parks./...OMG..My entire trip can be booked and paid for with these. This is amazing.

Is it the scrip program? My DD preschool just started this, and I will have to check about disney being on it! How exciting! Thanks for sharing!

I am not sure if that is what it's called or not. We have a sheet that comes home with a whole lotta places that sells GC in our area. They all offer different percetages as kick backs for these sales. A portion also goes to the school...cool fund raiser...finally something people really need..lol Check your school.

I am checking into the certifcates being used in the parks. The webiste says they can, but I want to get a $25 one and call down to WDW and make sure....I just want to be certain. It would be pretty horrible to be in WDW with a whole lotta useless Gift certifcates..lol
