Seriously distracted...

OK, now that I know I'm going, and now that I know where I'm staying, and now that I've got a couple of priority seatings on my clipboard, I've got one tiny problem...

I CAN'T GET WORK DONE!!

All I want to do is stare at my counter, look up CBR pictures, and plan my days. How pathetic is that??

LOL, it could be worse. My counter says something like 330 days, so at least you will be partially undistracted when you return. :)

By the way, I am glad to know that I am contributing to the largest waste of time that man has known in all of business history.

The wait is the Hard Part

Here is what I do
I put a CBR pic on my desktop, and forget the rest.
It can be such a nice surprise when vacation comes around.
I have a countdown on my calendar. Of course the day before I leave is listed as day zero, meaning no additional waiting days. It also makes the numbers smaller by one.
When the time draws near, I begin printing out information I will need to take with me and put it in notebooks. Hotel info, disney info, PS, I-95 contruction info, et al. I also keep a record of everytime I spoke to someone at CRO and what we spoke about.
Keeps my mind on work and vacation at the same time.
The wait is the hard part, but not as hard as leaving Disney at the end of vacation.

I feel the same way. This website is great...I am not a corny person, but I feel like I have found a family of sorts. Everyone is so helpful.

I have even made this my home page.... :o

Waste of time?????? This is serious stuff here! :laugh At least that's what I tell my DH when he wants to use the computer. I'm busy working on something really important! Shhh! Don't let my secret out!

Hang in there MickeyMac! Relief is on the way. Of course, if the anticipation is too much for you I could always go in your place.

LOL, I log on first thing when I get to school most days and check posts a few times a day when my students are passing in the halls between classes or during my free time/lunch.
When I sit down at the computer at home my 4 year old asks "Do you have more work to do mommy?" Of course I always say yup, it's work, all work!

lol to everyones posts!:laugh . Good suggestions Caribbeachnut! I have a problem that happens every vacation, let me know If im the only one that suffers from this:
I know I'm going to DW, im hyped up about it, got the countdown and all..then finally the vacation comes and Im in WDW! Then its like fast forward, and all of a sudden I'm driving past the "see ya real soon!" sign. And im sitting there like "wait a sec, my vacation can't be over yet, just a couple hours ago I was in the Magic Kingdom!" lol. Happens everytime...

Joe:)

Not pathetic at all! I planned and booked back in January and I've been doing the same thing with the Poly ever since!:) :)
I'm waiting for them to put a filter on my computer at work so I stop checking the postings out! Good thing I live in the same town that I work in, I can sneak home anytime I want and get my DisneyCentral fix! My wife does have a problem though when I have those pesky badguys:bandit :madmad cuffed in the back seat and leave them in the driveway. I tell her to send one of the kids out with cofee and donuts to keep them quite!

:)

I am so with you guys! I call my family daily to keep them posted on just how many days it is until our trip. I can't wait till the ticker gets under 50 days. I will feel like I am making progress.

Is it not the sinkingest feeling when you have to actually drive away from DW at the end of your trip. I always get a little Post Disney Depression. We start planning our next trip by the time we stop to fill up with gas. I am an addict. I admit it. It is better to own up and accept the inevitable. My husband says we should just move to FL... Take up residence somewhere nearby...

LOLOLOL!! If your unit is anything like our local unit, there's no organization or support for your computers at all, so there's no worries to the surfing Disney! :D

And you should be giving the bad guys warm milk rather than caffeine. Donuts are good though, weighs them down, but I guess you know that... :D

Hello everyone...

My name is DisneyAnne and I am a Disney addict...:)

Man, do I feel great! ;)
************************************************** **

On a more serious note, does anyone else with smaller children worry that their kids will get burnt-out on Disney? My kids still want to go but don't get as excited as they used to. I am always looking for ideas to make things new to them...that's why this trip we are doing the pins and lanyards. Just curious if anyone else is concerned :wow:

Support? Organization? what are those things? Do they cost money? If so that would explain why I don't know what they are!
