Is there a Disney Interior decorating book?

Dh & I are thinking about redoing DD's room and are looking for ideas. I love getting books showing the rooms all decorated and telling what you need. Does Disney have one?? We look at the catalog and like a couple of ideas in there but if there was a book for Disney decorating that would rock! :)

Bruce,
it's not a book but if you to Yahoo and type in Disney Home Decorating there are a number of sites that have Disney related home items: Bedding, wallpaper and borders and so on...
Good luck.

Last year I redid our second bathroom and we did in a Mickey and irends theme. We even got the Mickey Hands towel and wash cloth holders. They look real neat!

you know... I just had to wander in here and see what the heck was going on for Matt to respond to a home decorating thread... :p

Willbegone - I saw a couple of them at Disney, but I'm surfing Amazon hoping to find them for you and can't!! I thought i'd find it at DisneyHome.com, but I'm convinced that site is just there to tease...

This is just an idea, but I take a Pottery Barn catalog and take ideas from that, and just imagine Disney theming in its rpice.

Matt (putting on my nice hat here)... I'm collecting Mickey stuff for DH's bathroom. When I get back on my feet, I'm going to retile and repaper it in a Mickey cartoon theme and surprise him. We've got a Mickey golf theme going in the family room, too.

My boss has this awesome sink in their guest bathroom. I think it is made by Moen (not 100% for sure, though...) and it is a large white sink with Mickey and Minnie in the sink looking like they are trying to climb out, but they are slipping on soap bubbles. It is so cute.

I have also seen faucets for bathroom and kitchen sinks of Mickey's hands, and a vegetable sprayer for the kitchen sink that is in the shape of Mickey.

Here's another idea. When you are at WDW you can have character sketches made. (or you can call WDW mail order and tell them which characters you want). You could get 3 or 4 in a certain theme and have those as focal points for the room, and work around those....Also, use the Disney Paint (by Behr) at Home Depot. That will make it even more Disney-riffic!!

It's a Kohler product. It's real neat but real expensive. I was gonna splurge and get it but combined with the vanity it was to big for the area we had.

You can always get disney ceramics and use a bonding agent. The tough part is finding a tile product that fits the curvature of the sink. DH used to work for a kitchen/bath place, and the designer was incredible at coming up with low-cost options.

Hey, I just had an idea that's really cheap (we have a basic round bowl) is buying porcelain paint and stenciling "bubbles" in a loose pattern down the inside of the bowl, making hidden mickeys in the design. Just a thought.

OMG Trish, that is wicked funny... Then we could add a stenciled image of Mickey in a wet suit ... :D

I'd keep looking at it and think of Matt at the Living Seas though... :p

I bet there is a way to take a picture and apply it to the surface so it would be waterproof:p

I just saw these at either "Expo Home Design Center" (an upscale Home Depot Store) or "The Great Indoors" (an upscale Sears Store). They are really cute and I will most likely incorporate them into our powder room when it is redone next.

Hope this helps,
-harry

Hi! If you go to Home Depot or Lowe's, you can pick wallpaper and borders out of a HUGE Disney wall design book they have there. There is a lot to choose from!
