I got a phone call tonite from Disney Resorts!

Earlier this evening, I got a phone call from "Florida" as it appeared on my caller ID. I was half asleep in the recliner and didnt choose to answer the phone because I thought it was a telemarketer or something. So I ignored the phone and my brother answered it, the call was for me.... I yelled to him to take a message but he didn't hear me, so I told my other brother to tell them Iam not home and to take a message!
Well a couple minutes later my other brother yelled out if I was going to answer the phone and I said "No!" ......

and then .... he told me it was "DISNEY RESORTS" Calling!!!!

At first I was puzzled, "why would they be calling me?"

What if it was from their YOAMD contest they had going on???

I then looked up the phone number on the caller Id and was hitting redial all nite because the number was Busy, Busy, Busy!!!!!!!

What could this be about??? They left no message!!!!
Iam dying to know what this could be.... it could very well be nothing but I never got a phone call from them before....

Anyone else get this type of phone call?
It was a 561 area code

WOW, that's EXCITING!!!! You should have taken the call! I wonder what they could want? Did you possibly win a prize?? KEEP TRYING TO CALL BACK THAT NUMBER!!!!!

I thought it was a telemarketer!

If it makes you feel better the Orlando area code is 407 not 561....so maybe it wasn't really Disney?

You could try calling to confirm your reservation and ask them if there is any note on the reservation that could indicate what the call was about. Might not work, but it could.

Omg Val, I don't know!! CRAZY!!!! 561 is an area code in Palm Beach County though, which is strange. Unless they have a call center there or something?!?!?!! I would definately keep calling, or jeck, call som Disney Guest services number and ask them what department could have been calling from that number?!?! I don't know, crazy. Keep us updated!

a while back we got a phone call from Universal Studios and they said that they were calling because we won some promotion we filled in online- it was a telemarketing thing.
but on the caller ID it did say Universal Studios. If it were important they would call you back or leave a message.

Call central reservations and tell them that you have the number on caller id and they did not leave a message- you need to find out what they wanted- perhaps they have the number in their directory.

sounds like a scam.. don't get too excited. i had "someone" from florida call me once and said i won the grand prize from a drawing i entered at a boat show.. it was a set up and i ended up having fun giving them a hard time..

LOL we get called all the time from the "Disney Resort". Did you brother say it was a live person or a recording?

Like I said we get calls all the time about great deals or you have won (the chance) for a great vacation [in the bahamas, cruising the caribbean, at Universal, Disney, Gatorland...ok I have never got one for gatorland

] for just take part in....Those calls are almost always recordings with a call back number or push this number now.

But then again maybe it was your YMD to stay at Cindy's castle for the night

See this is why I always answer my phone, I figure it is easy to get rid of telemarketers. As said before it was most likely just an offer to stay at the castle. Nothing to get too pumped up about, right?
