My mom has decided to come to WDW with us next month. She is on a seperate reservation so we were thinking of getting the meal plan on our reservation (for 2 adults and 1 child) and sharing it with my mom. Our biggest problem with the meal plan is that we don't like to be tied down to TS meals every day of our trip and it's more food than we would normally eat so we feel sick by the end of the day OR we feel like we wasted money. So anyway - we figured if we do 5 TS's (we would pay OOP for one persons meal at one resturant) then the Dining Plan would be more appealing to us. We aren't trying to get something for nothing - we are still paying for it - we are just using the credits for 3 people instead of 2 for a few days and when they run out we will pay OOP....do you think this is okay?

I am sure someone will come along and help you out. I have yet to use the dining plan, I think we are going to try it in August. Does your mom want to come with us?

I think it's perfectly acceptable. It's not like you are stealing or anything. You will have to pay out of pocket for the meals when the DP runs out, so it all equals out in the wash to me. I totally understand how you feel about the DP. They try to kill you with food. I am only doing it in hopes that free dining comes out and the fact that I love that the food is already paid for. IT's just less for me to worry about having cash for. I say go for it. I think it morally acceptable and you know how high and mighty I get about ripping WDW off..lolol

Absolutely. It's better than the food going to waste, my dear. YOu're not trying to STEAL food, you're just spreading it out the way you want. I don't think there is anything wrong with that!

I was hoping you would post here! I knew you would look at it from every angle to see if it was legit. If the DP is free - then oh boy do I love it!!!!! If we have to pay for it I start to really work the numbers.

Yeah - Disney isn't losing anything on us - we just wanted to do a few nice TS meals but not every day.

Just to fll you all in......my dads friend BROKE our couch last time we were in WDW....and EVERY TIME we go away we come home and something in our house has been broke by my dad.

honestly, I don't think what you are doing is in any way hurting them or costing them money. You are going to pay for food when it runs out so who cares when you are going to pay for it...before or after you get there...doesn't matter.

Well, we didn't renew our passes, and I don't think we will until March or April, so if you're planning on having dinner at one of the resorts one evening, we will be glad to join you! :c)

I will let you know what my ADR's are when they are all set.....do you think I could wait any longer?
