Only 3 weeks away!

I'm so excited!! only 3 weeks left (roughly) and I can't wait. I've been planning this for over a year and now it's almost here and I'm starting to panic. Anyone have any tips for crunch time? I can't wait!!!!
thanks:D

Take a deep breath, click your heels 3 times, & say "There's no place like WDW, there's no place like WDW...":laugh :laugh

The last couple of weeks I just make sure I have the stuff ready to go that I won't need at home in that time...bathing suits, beach towels, sun screen, etc. Then I confirm all my PS numbers & make sure I have all tickets, itineraries and so forth ready to go. I double check all that stuff several times, watch every Disney movie I can get my hands on, & check in at DC at least a dozen times a day! It's funny how those last 2 or 3 weeks seem to last forever, but the vacation time seems sooooo short!

RELAX, everything will be fine. I paniced the last couple of weeks too and almost stressed myself out. Just keep dreaming about WDW and soon you will be there enjoying the magic.

Vacation time is short. I think the best thing to do when it gets this close to going is to review your itinerary. Make sure you adequately plan around your PSs. This should be a starting point, then fill in where you want to be around the times of these PSs regarding parades and night time shows (Illuminations, Fantasy in the Sky, etc.). The rest of the time is more flexible, but should be used wisely, including relaxation periods. Within these hardfast scheduled times, I think it's wise to have an idea of where to eat, or at least know what is basically served at these places (basically all Disney menus are available online). This should help to make the process of deciding when and where to eat less problematic.

Some may say that such detailed planning takes the fun and spontaneity out of a vacation, but this is WDW, not Club Med. WDW is for the active vacationer. Part of the Disney experience, for us adults, is to embrace WDW as a treasure seeking adventure, with maps and all. Just think about it. Proper planning and packing will undoubtedly make for a sucessful trip. I know that those who don't plan, are often frustrated and disappointed in the WDW experience.

All of this, should help to optimize any length of stay. I know how much anticipation grows over the months, and it is a little disappointing how so much preparation, money, and emotion can be invested in such a relatively short time period. But as I see it, the length of stay only appears short before and after the trip. While your in it, enjoy!!!!!!:) ;pirate:

I usually start with printing out my packing list from my PC and see what I need to find, purchase, etc...

The item I never leave home without is my water jug. The brand is Artic Zone (I've seen them at Walmart & Target). The container is insulated, holds 2 qts and has a strap. The reason it is so great is that the opening is wide enough to fill with lots of ice... even fits under the resort ice machine! I fill it to the top and then add a little bottled water. It stays cold all day even in high heat! We carry 2 into the parks and just hang them over the stroller handle. We have cold water when we need it! I always have people stop to ask me where I bought it!

Like the others said, RELAX and have fun!!

Thanks everyone!!! Those are great tips. I remember Willbegone's freakout phase right before they left and that's how I'm feeling about now. When I was growing up, when you went on vacation, you had to wear all new clothes. I'm the same way. We are in Mississippi and it's summer weather here already but I won't let my kids wear any of their new stuff b/c they have to save it for vacation. They've ben running around in last summer's semi-outgrown stained stuff when they have perfectly good things just sitting in a suitcase (I must be insane). I have all of my ps's made we are buying the last tickets tomorrow, but i still need to get sunscreen and goggles for the pool and My husband needs new clothes and I have to make sure the yard guy comes while we are gone and cuts the grass and get someone to get the mail and get film and batteries and .......... Gee I thought i was ready, apparently not. Thanks everyone, it's nice to know I can count on my dc pals :D
thanks everyone!

Hi Angie, Just get that Disney List ready, and go through it, so you do not forget a thing. Joe has his list out and we are ready .
Called the Limo yesterday, got our new tennis shoes this Sunday. Of course, I have to break my in. Joe on the other hand can, I mean will put them on the day we will leave, and not have a problem.

I did get a few new things, and won't wear them till we get to DW. Why do we do that????:hmmm
Hope the weather is good, and calm down, everything will work out!! Just think you might get to meet my Disney Family. How lucky is that???!!! JOANN
