Delta Airlines

I need to vent!!!!!!!!

I just called Delta to see if they have waived the change fee for our travel dates. We want to extend our trip by a few days, but can't since we have restricted tickets.

Anyway.....They said we couldn't, but the lady politly told me that because of equipement changes, our seats have been rearranged. All four of our seats are now seperated. We are each in different row...17, 30, 38, & 40.
WHAT!!!! I am traveling with small children. How could they do this? Not to mention I booked these flights in the first week of January. The lady told me I could request to be seated together when we checkin, but nothing is guarenteed. I asked her if everyone on the plane was mixed up? She said "no". I said "then why us?" She said "the computer generates the reseating".

Oh Well.....Did I mention I got resies for Cindy's Breakfast!!!!

I had a problem with Delta also. Not as bad as yours, they just changed our flight times, kind of messed things up for a while. I'm just worried their going to change them again.
Anyways, good luck I hope that then can get you all seated together. I can't see them letting your children be split up like that.

They won't seat your children by themselves. They will arrange for at least one adult to sit with each child even if they have to move you to first class. They will take care of that at check-in.

If your kids are real small the stews will usualy go out of their way to sit you guys togeather or at least one kid with one parent. I'm sure they will work it out. They are very sensitive when it comes to kids. Good luck!

Thanks for the reassurance. Now that I've calmed down, I am sure that the stews will take care of us. Delta has always been good to us, and we've never had a problem.

I work for Delta in Atlanta and I feel you. There are a lot of things that they do I don't understand. What I do know is that we have excellent customer service and we go out of our way to accomadate everyone's different needs. Now, more than ever, we have to make sure all our passengers go away with a smile.

Next time use a travel agent. They will keep working on your seats so you don't have to. They charge a fee but that has to be worth something.

Thanks wdsny1 and everyone else,
My wife was bummed out last night when I got home. I reassured her that everything should be o.k. I told her about the comments everyone on this board said. I just can't see Delta forcing our children to sit alone.

keep calling Delta every day. Seats open up. That is what I do...eventually you will find someone who will help. Trust me they will accommodate you at the airport. they don't want kids unattended by themselves.

Rlander - my daughter and I were separated, and when we turned in our luggage, I commented on it and they reissued us new boarding passes.

You guys seriously jinxed me on this though... since reading this thread, our flights have readjusted twice... LOLOL!
