betsymouse, I'm glad you like school so much!

I, however, would like another few days of vacation. We don't get much of a spring break, we got out of school at noon on Thursday and have to go back tomorrow. (I know, I know--I get 2 weeks at Christmas and 3 months off in the summer, but I can still whine a little.)

I packed so much in this weekend I need a vacation to recover from my vacation. We spent the weekend in St. Louis and took my DS (4) to his first ML baseball game. He had a blast and wants to go again soon.

Jeff, I'm SOOOOOOO disappointed. I always liked you, but now you're one of those scary people that have to give me nitrous just to get me to come in & valium if they're going to do anything other than a cleaning!!!!! Tell me it's not true!!!!!:nooo: :nooo: :nooo:

Sorry, it's true. But, to get serious for a minute, I unofficially specialize in "high fear" patients. I LOVE when people come to me and are scared to death of the dentist, because I know, with time, I can change that. Dentistry doesn't have to be scary if it's done well. And, a huge part of doing it well is keeping the patient comfortable. I kinda have an interesting rep among the dentists in this area. One of them told me recently that he won't cover emergencies for me any more when I'm on vacation, because "all your patients are crazy." Believe it or not, I took that as a complement. What a sweet offer, wdwjeff. I'll keep it in mind for sure. But right now I have a dentist I go to where the hygenist (sp?) even gasses me for a cleaning, & if we have to do anything else, the dentist gives me valium for the night before, the morning of, & for the procedure. Of course DH has to drive, but he figures it's worth it if I go! I'm so glad there are more dentists like you out there these days....somewhere over 20 years ago I actually had a dentist refuse to work on me 'cause I was shaking so badly! My hat's off to you!!!
