easy adult costume ideas

ok, so its 140 days away - I need to start thinking about my MNSHHP costume!!

This is for me, btw - DH & DD's have theirs already. I don't want to do the matching thing with any of them, necessarily.

so....keeping in mind that I am not creative & can't sew (but have friends that could possibly)....got any ideas for easy, cute disney themed preferably costumes for me?

I did Dorthy from Wizard of Oz and had a little basket with "Toto" also dressed in costume as Pluto.

Hmmm......I'll have to think about that one. I do like the Dorothy idea. That's cute. I was going to say Belle, but I don't know what color hair you have!

Re: easy adult costume ideas

You could wear your regular clothes and if anyone asks you you can say , "I"m a sociopath, we look just like everyone else." Okay, maybe that's not very Disney

I love the Queen Of Hearts Disney costume that was offered at the Disney Store...it's pretty darn cute. But I wonder if it would be hot

You could buy a long blue nightgown (great if you could find on with an Empire waist, or you could use a blue ribbon for the same effect), pull your hair back into a blue bow and go as Wendy.

You could find a long purple sleeveless gown (dress, nightgown, skirt and cami?) accessorise it with a darker purple sash and low slung hip scarf thingy, a few gold sparkly pieces in the right places and you can go as Meg (?) from Hercules.

Re: easy adult costume ideas

I dressed up as a lady bug once, it was very easy, no sewing involved. But you did say Disney themed, so nevermind.

Back to the rest of this quote, empire waist things are very IN right now, so you should be able to find something like that pretty easily.

Re: easy adult costume ideas

And a nightgown will be cool to wear, lol. (not cool like but cool as in un-hot, lol)

What about swooping your hair into a beehive, doning a dress and apron and going as a "mom" from 50's Prime Time Cafe?
