On FOX news this morning...on Al-Aqsa TV, there is a children's program, hosted by kids, and a very Micky looking mouse. The cute little mouse tells the kids to take their vitamins, drink their milk, and oh yeah, while you are at it become jihadists and kill the infidels....

I'll admit it, I know next to nothing about Muslims and Islam, but I find it hard to believe any supreme being, including Allah, would advocate teaching such hatred to children.

I was just so mad...especially knowing that Disney Corporation is helpless to stop it. I seriously doubt any copyright infringment laws would apply in Palestine.

Its so difficult for me to fathom the belief systems of those ruled by hate, fear and power. If its all you know than its all you can teach- and the cycle continues. They took a childs icon and have tried to make it teach what they want the kids to grow up to be. I think what pisses me off more is why use our beloved mouse? Why not an obnoxious tacky purple dinosaur!

I find it interesting that every media outlet has managed to play this piece over and over again, yet only CNN has seen fit to broadcast - once - Queen's Noor of Jordan's call for a "Mother's Day for Peace". I wonder why? Because one can be sensationalized and one is well - just too darn peaceful.

Unfortunately in this world there will always be evil. And unfortunately evil touches good people. But evil isn't limited to one culture, one religion, one area of the world, no matter what the media wants you to believe. I honestly believe that "fundamental" anything is dangerous because of it's intolerance of all others right to live, worship, believe, as they wish. All clips like this do is promote more misunderstanding, more fear, more prejudice. For every Palestinian child being taught the basics of terrorism by a Mickey lookalike, I wonder how many Palestinian children are just wishing they could live, go to school and play in a peaceful nation.

I wonder how many of those children have any idea what a peacefull nation really is.
I would love to see the world at peace and the idea of Peace on Earth is so lovely. However we have different ideas and different belief systems. Human nature is to want to be the one that is right. So if one is right then the others are wrong. Even if we all agreed to disagree- the one that is being treated as the "wrong" one will develop into hurt feelings and eventually esculate into fighting which kills the peace. I get so sad when I think about how its just impossible.
