OK all I need the peer pressure of our MB family to help me here. Most of you know that me, my DD, nutty and HB are meeting up for MGM to rock my favorite rides. HB is going on RnR for the very first time with me and I am totally pumped! She will not go on TOT for some silly reason and I need all of your help in forcing her to ride with me. I have already threatened to pick her up and carry her fireman stlye on the ride if I have to....

let the pressure begin!!!!!!!!! Bring it on!

cmon soundgod....sheesh. I was counting on you. She needs to do this. If she can rock the RNR, she can do this...it's a sissy drop.

TOT is fun, not scary..... makes me laugh out loud (and i have panic disorder). it's a bigger version of being thrown in the air and caught when you're a little kid. my niece went on TOT w/ me when she was 10. she was laughing like a nut just like her aunt, LOL. DD NEEDS TO BUST OUTTA HER SHELL!!

and God Bless y'all w/ RnR..... i went on that ride alone as a guinea pig, to see what i thought of it as far as letting my sister know if it was alright for my niece to ride. WELL, i came off of that ride w/ a headache - from my head slamming around in the head restraints (was trying desperately to not lose my pearl earrings w/ the posts), and dizzy from all of the alligator death rolls. honestly i don't know why they put visuals in that ride, you go so fast you can't see them, all a blur. my hair was half hanging out of my pony tail and the color (what little of it that i have to begin with) was completely washed out of my face. i had to take a dranamine, and told my sister - uh no, my niece can't ride it. GIVE ME SPACE MOUNTAIN ANY DAY, LOL haven't been on everest yet, would love to know what that's like.

Tell her that my DD rode it when she was just barely 3!!!!

....and she wasn't scared! She LOVED it!

So - is a 3 year old braver that HB?


Also, it is not a typical drop ride either. I HATE drop rides, but love the ToT.
It's different...in fun way.

Everest is a visual coaster....very smooth and hardly "hairy" at all. It's definately more about theme and less about thrill, but a great coaster and definately in my top five attractions at WDW.

I consider TOT more about visual effects. It's a perfectly themed ride. The drop, as long as you are not in the very front seat, is not intense at all to me. The front seat is a bit more on the "chuck you lunch" side, but still doable in my opinion. The back of the cart is smoother and not intense at all.

Ok just so you all know I have been on this ride. Did not enjoy it at all was not a fun time. But if you like it ok great for you.

And I ride Millenium Force at Cedar Point but won't get on the Power Tower.
California Screamin' at DCA but not the Maliboomer.
Xcelorator at Knott's, but not their Power Tower.
I've only ridden Dr. Doom's Fearfall 3 times, but won't ride Hulk anything less than three times in a row.
I did ride Acrophobia at SFoG, that's a real monster, and higher than ToT and in the open.

The thing about ToT isn't just the drops, it's the whole Twilight Zone overlay between the short elevator shaft and the main shaft. And then the drops. It's really fun, and you feel a lot safer than if you're just straped into a seat and blasted 200 feet up. It's also more of a shared experience than the average drop tower because you are in a car that seats 15 in rows, which also tells you this isn't going to be as rough.
No Disney ride has ever been at the top of the food chain when it comes to intensity.
