Not a bad idea! My DW and I have the same conversation many, many times!

5 days over Thanksgiving 2001 was the shortest trip. Our next trip in August will be 9 days. Two in that other park (Universal staying at Royal Pacific) and the rest at WDW at the Poly!:)

Just recently I tried to convince my DW to drop the Universal and spent the whole time at WDW but she won't hear of it! Neither will the DS's!:)

7 nights has be our longest trip. Last year we were booked for 5 nights and realized that wasn't nearly enough time.

How long?

Usually 12 nights. I always drive, so there are also a couple of days on the road each way. What I save on air fare and rental car, allows me to extend my hotel stay.

We usually go for 8 days but I think the perfect trip would be 2 weeks in a villa with a length of stay pass or AP. The best trip we ever took was at the Poly when we took several days off to play at the resort! There is so much more to WDW beyond the theme parks!!

dab your so right ..the time we stayed 16 days, we were at the CBR and we spent time on the lake in the paddle boats and another day riding bikes around the resort and enjoying everything about the CBR. And we went to both luau's, they still had the Mickey Luau at the Poly then.

Our trips usually consist of about 4 or 5 nights. This time we will be there for 6 days, 5 nights and I am really excited about that. I can't imagine how great it would be to stay for 2 weeks. Next May we will be staying 7 nights. So I guess we are getting closer and closer to that 2 week mark.

Stayed 7 days once, but because we go so often, it almost seemed too long.

Did I hear a gasp???

Because we are in S. FL., we go on weekend trips several times a year. We also make one day trips, so often that I don't really count them (we make good use of the Annual Passes). Most of our weekend trips don't even include a trip to a park, just relaxing & rejuvinating at a WDW resort.

Being a florida resident, mostly all our trips to Disney are weekenders, meaning one full day at the one park we all vote on. We hardly ever go during the summer, its way to crowded and hot. We prefer to wait for the value season, which means great discounts at the deluxe resorts! lol. Our longest trip has been 4 days. If we didn't splurge on the nice hotels, we probably could stay longer! lol. Im so envous to those that go for more then 1 week!! :madmad

On an average we go for eight days. Our last trip was 11 day and our first trip was eight days and this trip will be eight days too. Three weeks with the run of the kingdom would be my dream vacation.

The longest we have ever stayed was 8 days...although I dream of staying for at least 2 weeks! We also own timeshare off-site and can go for as many as 6 weeks in a 1 bedroom villa, if we really wanted to...but we still have not done anything like that yet! Someday, though...when my DS is a little older, we will go for at least 2 weeks straight! I sure am jealous of the Florida residents who can pick up and go any time they want...the magic is never too far away from them!

We always try to stay for 2 weeks when we go. As we do not live anywhere near WDW (we are west-coasters) we try to get as much out of our trip as we can. We find that 2 weeks gives us time to enjoy the resort as well - we usually rent a canopy boat to putter around a bit and we just relax knowing that we are not having to rush around...I'm trying to convince my DH that we should stay longer than 2 weeks though. In my dreams, I would live in WDW! Or maybe in Celebration...in my dreams :)

Re: How long are your vacations at WDW?

My longest vacation at WDW was 8 days in November, 1996. Most trips are between 4 and 7 days.
