Insider know of any Electrical Maintenance Job openings??

Just curious to know if there was such. If anyone who reads this board that is in the know of these type jobs. I have also heard that these jobs aren't so great too because of the nature of being maintenance position.

Are you referring to job openings at WDW in this field? If you are, I can do some research on our jobs webpage (sorry it's not open to the public) and check it out for you.

Re: Insider know of any Electrical Maintenance Job openings??

My husband is always interested to know if Disney contracts out their auto body and painting work of if they do it on site. He always said if we ever moved back to Florida, near WDW, he's wants to paint Disney buses, boats, recreational vehicles, etc. Heck, he could even shoot set pieces, etc.

Anyway, glad you are asking a question like this. I hope someone has an answer. There is a career website, maybe Rowdy or someone gave give you that address.

Well, I was asking if this was a true statement by a vendor who programmed the simulation ride at Disney. He works for Rockwell Automation which is the sort of field I am in. Automation and Maintenance - Electrical Systems Specialist.

Yes, and thank you. I no longer have a contact at WDW parks. I know how companies have their own intranet job listings. Thanks for the help.

Re: Insider know of any Electrical Maintenance Job openings??

That would be a dream to work for Disney...I mean you have to work no matter where you live might as well work for the place you love the most! I just read on another Disney site from a cast member that the servers at the restaurants make anywhere from 40-80 THOUSAND Dollars a year. I don't know how true that is, but that would rock! That is some high class waitressing job! In my old waitressing days I was happy to go home with 100-150 bucks a night which I guess is roughly around 30,000-35,000 but not really guaranteed. I would be a server again for 80 g's!

Well I DEFINATELY know that wasn't true for my friend Kevin who was a server in EPCOT. He was like a head server too, coming into EPCOT with experience serving on Disney Cruise ships also. Hmm. I hope some Disney server is making that though!!

I thought that was kind of steep too, but I have no idea what they make so can't say. I got that from a thread on Intercot and I guess it was about the servers complaining on being taxed on dining plans because they have to claim it all. But again...I don't know. I know I wish I made that kind of cash when I was serving!
