Disney Trip in March / I Have Questions...

I am seriously considering going to WDW this coming March for our Spring Break. For us it will be early in the month, March 10-14 and it will not coinside with Easter. I wanted to know if the crowds will be unbearable? I have gone in June and July when crowds are ridiculous so I'm hoping that this will not be the case for March. I also wanted to know what the weather is like. Any help out there

We arrived March 17 for our Spring Break last year, and I was pleasantly surprised at the crowd level. I was really expecting gridlock, but it was no worse at that time than it had been in October 2004. The weather was fabulous in March as well. I did live by the Unofficial Guide's recommended entry days for each park, and I really think that helped. You'll have a wonderful time!!!

We wnt the first weekend in March 2006. THe weather was nice and the crowds for the most part were down...except the place was crawling with Cheerleaders. It was the national cheerleading championships. If you are planning on staying at one of the All Stars I would call and check on cheerleader weekend! They were everywhere! They practiced all night long and you could hear them while trying to go to sleep and even in the shower!!!

We went Easter week last year (April 15th) and the crowds were fine. The weather was so perfect that the crowds don't seem to bother you as much. On the other hand we were there this past Aug and it was so hot that you just couldn't stand to have to wait in a line!

Try looking at Touringplans.com for a crowd estimate. They are pretty accurate.

I don't think you will have a problem. We've gone in mid-March before and loved it. We will be there this year for Easter so I know we are getting crowds. But I think you will just have moderate crowds.

We will never go again after the first week of March and before the end of April. We were there the second week of March 2 years ago and the crowds were terrible. It was so crowded that it was no fun and a waste of our time and money. But we both hate crowds. If crowds don't bother you, you'll be fine. There will be a LOT of people there.
