MGM walkway

Before I left for my trip in March and got sick thereafter, I seem to remember some postings about a walkway to MGM. I could not find it when I looked for it today.

Anyway, tnkrbell has confirmed that there is one and can give all the juicy details if someone else hasn't already. Sorry but I have simply forgotten. :dazed

We have to wait for tnkrbell to fill us in! I just saw her today and I asked her to post the info. Hopefully she will before Monday. :)

Impatient...

Last August, Disney completed a walkway from Disney-MGM studios to the boardwalk resort area. Leaving MGM, follow the signs to the last bus pick-up spot, and keep walking. You will see a path the heads toward the canal. It should be completely signed by now, although it wasn't when we were last there. It is well lit, and follows the canal to the Swan, Dolphin, Boardwalk and Beach and Yacht Club resorts. The walk should only take ten to fifteen minutes, depending upon your final destination. It is usually very quiet, and ends up being a nice stroll.

You can see a picture of the walkway here:

Sorry, I couldn't post it, it was too large. The MGM parking lot is to the bottom, and the Boardwalk area to the top. You can see the walkway on the right side of the canal.

mm so you can now walk to Epcot :)

this is neat .. you could actually walk to Epcot .. if you can get to the Y&B using this walk way ..then you can actually come in to Epcot from there. this could be faster then trying to get a bus from MGM to Epcot. I know I saw a suggestion some place before about taking a bus from the Y&B to other parks and thought it was a great idea. considering how slow the boat is from the studio to Y&B a 15 minute walk would be about the same :)
