Icon5 Transportation From DW to Sea world/Universal

Yes I'm planning to book a trip to Disney World over the Xmas period, whenever i've been in the past we have always stopped on International Drive for 4/5 days so to be close to Sea World, Universal etc, and then moved to one of the Disney resorts for the remainder of the trip.

This time we are planning a 3 week Holiday, but we just want to stay at one of the Disney World resorts for the entire trip. I was wondering if anyone knows the cost of transportation either by taxi or if there any free services running to these attractions from the DW Resorts?

Also if anyone knows of any good Tour Operators for this trip, last visit we flew with Virgin Atlantic and stayed at the Carribean Beach Resort which was great, but at such short notice vacancies are causing problems!

Any Suggestions will be much appreciated......

I WISH I HAD A MAGIC CARPET!!!!

in anticipation.................................

Re: Transportation From DW to Sea world/Universal

You can take a public bus from WDW TTC to sea world for $1.50 per person each way. Cheap, but a bit of a hassle, in my opinion. You can rent a car, just for a day or two from a car care center at disney if you'd like. I am hiring a towncar to take my family to sea world for $55 round trip, which to me is better than schlepping on a bus or driving myself. You can also take a taxi which would probably be about the same amount.

Re: Transportation From DW to Sea world/Universal

Hi Tom,we always stay at a WDW resort and Sea World is on our itenary- we always get a taxi from the resort and usually book a round trip, calling the cab 15 mins prior to leaving- I cannot tell you at this moment how much it costs as DH is not here, but I will ask later. However, Disney resorts do not have 'dedicated' Sea World transportation.

You are best off renting a car. It will be your most economical choice.

Re: Transportation From DW to Sea world/Universal

Our neighbors just went to Orlando and stayed at WDW. To go to SW, they took a cab. I remember they said something about it being expensive and a hassle to get the cab for the return ride --

Re: Transportation From DW to Sea world/Universal

I agree with Dana, hiring a car is easily the most economical choice especially for us foreigners who tend to do more than just the WDW parks, like malls, Wal Mart, Sea World, Universal, Kennedy SC etc. We had gone to WDW for over 14 yrs before DH plucked up courage to drive and now he bitterly regrets not doing it from the start. When you add up all the cab fares it compares very favourably if you shop around for good deals.
