Wow- what a night

I took my daughter to the Hannah Montana concert last night in Atlanta. It was completely FABULOUS. I am not a huge concert goer, but this rivaled anything that I have ever been to see before. Both Hannah Montana/ Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers were great. It was the most well produced show that I have ever seen, and everyone that I was with thought that "Hannah Montana" owned the stage. She was great.

on a side note- we told my daughter yesterday that she was going. She was so excited... after about three songs, she said," Mommy is that the real Hannah Montana?" She was in shock I think!

Also, there was a lot of talk about the thousands of counterfeit tickets that were supposedly floating out there... we were all nervous until we got in to the show... It was really fun. Then we heard on the news that there were only 8 counterfeit tickets... and the arena was nice enough to let them in to see the show. I guess Disney magic spreads everywhere if you let it!

If you are going to see this show anywhere else... get there early and enjoy it- it was a blast!

Glad you and your daughter had a great time! Very nice that they let those people in to see the show too.

Re: Wow- what a night

We were glad too, because they said that some people paid $2500 per ticket to go. Those ticket brokers can be trouble... Not what we are used to from the old days when I was going to concerts!
I am just glad that the show was so good. It was so unbeliveable, and I was not really into the whole Hannah Montana thing yet- I am still hoping that she will still like Cinderella the best- ya know?
I think that she is moving into another stage of life, and I am not ready for it!
This show was an unbelievable show as far as the production, lighting, fireworks, sound, action, dancers, choreography, etc. It was very, very well done and well organized. There was not a dull moment- and all of the kids had a blast (although the parents had as much fun as the kids)!

Re: Wow- what a night

We left school at 3:15 for a 7:00 concert. Now, keep in mind that the traffic is a little unpredictable, but always horrible for rush hour. It took us about 1 hour and a half to get there when it should take us about 45 minutes- all related to regular traffic. We ate dinner and went to park about 5:40. When we parked, there were tons of activities outside, her HOT PINK tour bus was outside with some stuff to see (outside)-we could not get to it though because of all of the people. There were 5 radio stations there giving away closer tickets, etc. It was already really crowded outside, and it took us a minute to get inside. Once you were inside, there were MAJOR LINES for the t-shirts/extra stuff. The good thing was there were tons of giveaways too- My kids got a pack of lemon heads, some necklaces, some kind of trading cards. So by the time you got through everything and went to the restrooms- it was time to find a seat. YOu do not want to be late for this show. It starts off with a bang (not literally), but you do not want to miss it! It was a really fun show- and cute to see all of the teenage girls there to see the Jonas Brothers!

I'm so glad you and your daughter had a great time. My DSIL recently got her tickets. She had about twenty people manning the phones for her as soon as the line opened and only one of her friends was able to get her daughter tickets.

Let me start with I don't have kids.

I feel so stupid for asking but aren't Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus the same person?

Yes, they are the same person. Miley performs songs as herself, and as 'Hannah Montana' when she puts on concerts.

Hanwill I am jealous btw! I may be 23 and my daughter is too young to truly appreciate Hannah Montana (though she knows who she is and actually says "Ha-Da" when she sees pictures of her! ) but I would LOVE to go to a Hannah/Miley concert! I am unashamed to admit that her music is one of my favorite things to rock out to in my car.

It really is too bad that the shows sold out so fast, and that people are asking so much for resale tickets.

Re: Wow- what a night

I was offered 3 tickets for $750, but just couldn't swing that. As an aside, in North Carolina, it is illegal to sell a ticket for more than $3 above the face value. Obviously, not an enforced law, judging by the profit made by some of those ticket brokers.

Re: Wow- what a night

The thing that we kept noticing was that she could have sold out a much larger venue in Atlanta- for multiple nights... I bet that the planning for the concert did not anticipate the frenzy when they were booking the venues!

Re: Wow- what a night

That's what I heard. They did not anticipate the amount of interest in this concert that occurred. I wanted to take DD so badly, but it is just not in the cards.

I'm not paying for a severely over-priced ticket. If I could have gotten some from Ticket Master, I would definitely have done it.

I am really glad you had a wonderful time.

Would love to see pics if you have some.

Re: Wow- what a night

we were going to get tix, but 3 hours after they started selling them for Indy, they were sold out. I think it was sold out faster than that, but that's when i went online to get them. WOW - i bet she comes around again this summer - and with more shows at larger venues. now that they know how much she can rake in, they'll definitley take advantage of it!!

Re: Wow- what a night

In ATL she sold out in 4 minutes. We do not know how my friend was lucky enough to get tickets, but she did- and at face value. We were so lucky. It was an extremely well produced concert! I hope that anyone else that gets to go has fun!
