Disney Dream Reward Dollars

I just got my order and I'm shocked that there are still more restrictions:

"They can be used for the partial amount of a purchase - you can redeem 20 reward dollars towards a $50. item and pay the remainder with cash or credit card."

That's the part that surprised me. Does that mean I can't use them on anything unless the amount is over $50?

UGH!! I hope that is not so! That would be crazy. They can't tell us we have to spend $50.00 just to use them. Especially when dining in Disney Restaruants.

Maybe they were just using $50.00 for an example? It still doesn't make any sense that we can only use it as partial payment! What if what I wanted to buy was only $20.00. Shouldn't I be able to use the whole amount of Disney Rewards $$ towards that purchase? :hmmm

I used my $20 card on an item that was $23.76 and the $10 one on a $17. purchase. So, I think the restriction just means that you can't get cash back from a card or that you can combine them.

Phew! Well that makes sense! Did you use them at Disney World? I got the DW certificates, and not the disney store cards. They are so pretty, I hate to spend them (which is probably the point, right?)

I'm pretty sure dab is correct, although I won't be using any until August (but I should have about $80 then!!!). I think they just have to be soooo careful about how they word things these days that they were just trying to say you CAN use a combination of Reward Dollars & another card or whatever. Is that the only restriction you saw MickeyMac?

I used mine at the Disney Store. They were plastic cards that look exactly like their gift cards. I don't recall reading any restrictions other than you could not get cash back.

Yes, the only restriction I see is that you don't get cash back on them. Buy a $9.90 item and they keep the dime. Buy a $10.90 item with a $10 reward certificate or card and you pay the extra $1. and get 10 cents back.

Ilv, since breaking mine in, I've been using it for work, (used to use a debit card) and I'm amazed at how well it's working too. I just wanted to get some back before our June trip so I could ask y'all about it. Next thing I'll pick up are the Disney Store cards. This time, I got the Disney World certificates. I'm hoping to go to Disneyland with my Dad ater this summer, and want to try those, too. :D
