Disney's Vero Beach Resort?

I am thinking of taking a brief weekend trip there and want to know if its worth it, or if I should just hit up a closer beach?! Thoughts?!

Never been, but I've heard (from a Disney CM) that is is REALLY nice . . . beautiful beaches . . . really no "Disney" feel to it except for Character Dining. She said it is a beautiful resort right on the ocean . . . and very DISNEY in the way it is managed and maintained . . . sorry, don't know more then that!

Thanks! It look beautiful on the web, I just didnt know if it was worth the extra hour in the car or if I should stick to Cocoa.

I live about 45 minutes from the vero beach resort .. I have visited friends there and the rooms are nice the pool area is great nice beach area ... Shutters is really good to eat there I had lunch there and had wonderful steak quesidas ...
