wardrobe advice/end of season sales

October weather in Florida is still shorts weather in the daytime, right? We might need jeans for evening or cool days, right?

My question is are sandals, capri's, sundresses still seen in October or because summer is over women wear Kahki's and closed toe shoes?

I am asking now because the end of summer sales ads started (eek! Memorial day was two days ago!) and I want to buy some new clothes for the trip but want to get appropriate stuff. I figured that park clothes were easy but I thought a few nicer outfits for the evening PS's were and called for.

The guys have it easy, kkahki's and polos or shorts and polos, how hard is that to plan for and pack. lol!

Thanks!

Personally I would say yes capris, sundresses, etc are fine for October here in SC people are still wearing these things in October if the weather permits. I personally go for comfort regardless of the fashion dos and donts! I would hit those sells and rack up.

I don't follow the no white after Labor Day while I'm in WDW. Wear whatever is comfortable and keeps you cool. The daytime temps are usually in the low 80's in Oct. so definately summer wear is appropriate... sandals and all! You might have a few cool nights but jeans and a light sweater/jacket or shorts & a sweatshirt are fine. Have fun!

Here in SC, we wear shorts almost up until Halloween so I would say ~ with Florida being south of us and all ~ that shorts, capris, whatever would be fine. A jacket would be appropriate in the evenings. I tend to agree with dab and Willbegone - dress for comfort and forget the rules...everyone else does but that's another thread ;)

I remember going in Oct. one year, and all we did was wear shorts. Then , this past Nov. my DH was in jeans, and I wore Capri's the entire time. I take that back, there was one day we were able to wear shorts. Very cool weather that Nov.-Dec. (2002) Of course, we live 30 miles south of Chicago, so a little cool weather doesn't bother us that easily!!! JOANN:)

Did you see the sale they are having over at the disneystore.com. 50% off clearance adult clothing. I just purchased the tinkerbell velour sweat suit, mickey retro shirt and capri jeans (all for my trip). They had cute long and short sleeved shirts for 9.99 (what a deal). When we went in Nov I wore shorts every day and some nights I did have to put on a sweater. I still wore my shorts and sandals. The only day I wore pants was the day we left because I knew it wouldn't be 80 and sunny when we flew into Philly International at midnight.

Have fun shopping!

yep gotta agree .. we live in texas and while evenings might finally get cooler around halloween .. days can still be pretty warm in the south. Heck I have seen plenty of christmas days that were in the 80's

I live on the west coast of Florida, and in October you can still wear shorts. Capris can be worn also...and personally I wear my birkenstocks all year long :)
I agree with the previous posters, go for comfort, and not rules.
It is cooler at night, so bring a sweater and jeans, but during the day it is still warm :)
