On your next trip to WDW, will you be leaving someone behind that would really like to go too?

We are.

I was just out on disney.go.com and found they have a place where you can create your own greeting cards (note card size).
The cards are excellant! And that gave me an idea.

I printed out a few with different characters and selected NONE for the greeting (they didn't have a "Wish You Were Here" greeting). I'll take them on our trip and if I happen to run across any of the characters, I'll try to get them signed and send them home to everyone we left behind to let them know we miss them and are thinking about them.

oh thats a great idea !! my daughter cant go with us this year because she doesnt have the vacation time :( and I have two friends one in s.cal and one in N.C. who have been before with us but cant make it this time .. so I am going to do that too!! thanks so much for the suggest and the link !

Good Suggestion! I had never thought of that, but that is a nice thing to do. Getting the Characters signature would make it that much more special.

What a great idea. We are not leaving anyone behind (although my 15 DS is not wanting to go during football season). But I think it would be great for my DS's to send back home to their friends like they do the postcards. Thanks for sharing that with us.

That's fantastic, but it made me sad. I would LOVE for my father to go - he's really up there in years, and I've always wanted to go to Disney with him.

I just must send a card. :D

I really love that suggestion. I am going to DW next month ( if everything goes as planned....) and I am going to send those cards back home to those that would like to be with us...and can't!

Just going to modify it a bit...

I am going to try to find a disney themed baby card and get it signed and send it to my new niece or nephew who arrives in November! I am sure to find some super cute Disney baby stuff somewhere in the World to go with it.

Since the baby is due in November, the card will have plenty of time to get to its destination.

After getting our cards signed by the appropriate characters, we mailed them on Sun, June 15. I thought sure the recipients would get them by Wed or Thurs latest. Two got to their destination on Sat, Jun 22 and one got to its destination on Mon, Jun 23. Talk about Snail Mail!!!!!!
