Can anyone help with this?
Last weekend I went to a Cleveland Indians baseball game and got a bad sunburn on my face and scalp. I have really sensitive skin and this got me to thinking about how I can protect the old noggin when we go to WDW in September.
My dilemmas: #1-I hate wearing baseball caps. #2-I can't put sunscreen on my face...it stings all day if I do. #3-I still want to look cool. Any ideas on types of hats or where I could go to shop for hats...online or elsewhere? I also heard about sunscreen you can use in your hair to protect your scalp? Has anyone else used a product like this? Does it make your hair greasy? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Gosh, I wish I could help you.
How about a visor? At AK they sell pith helmets with fans inside them. They are so cute, how about wearing something like that? Maybe with mickey ears on it. Who cares if you feel funny wearing that, everyone wears strange things on their head at Disney ![]()

Re: Can anyone help with this?
Like Dopey, I thought about a visor as well, but that won't help the scalp burn. Maybe you could speak with your doctor about sunscreen for people with super sensitive skin? I do know that Disney has all sorts of hats to offer besides baseball caps. Perhaps you can find one there?

Re: Can anyone help with this?
My Son breaks out in a huge rash from sunscreen......Except from Neutrogena Sensitive Skin sunscreen. His doctor recommended it. You may want to test that out in a small area.

Re: Can anyone help with this?
I suffer from sun allergies and my doctor recommended 'Piz Buin' allergenic range-my daughter also has eczema and she finds this doesnt irritate her sensitive skin either.

Re: Can anyone help with this?
Wow! Thank you for the comments. Sounds dumb now, but I never even thought about asking my doctor for a recommend. I don't think we have Piz Buin in the U.S., but I will look for it along with the Neutrogena.
I don't think the visor will work, but those pith helmets sound cute. For some reason, DH thinks I look cute in hats and is always putting silly ones on me at the department stores. Can you imagine him with the hats at WDW? This could end up being a fun quest for him too.

Re: Can anyone help with this?
As far as the scalp--could you use the spray sunblock? I usually spray it over my daughter's hair before we go out in the sun for prolonged periods of time--works well!!

Re: Can anyone help with this?
I take the stick sunblock, make a part, rub the sun block on my/kids scalp and then style our hair (blowdry it etc) . . . this way it's really on my/kids scalp . . . it seems to work, cuz I notice theirs parts get really red if I don't do it! If you do it while your hair is dry, it will make your hair greasy!
Have you tried Clinique City Block? It's super light! It works really well and is hypoallergenic . . . pricey, but a little goes a long way, and even if you apply everyday (I do, I LIVE in FL!) it bottle lasts about 3-4 months! Clinique | Sun + Body | Sun Protection | City Block Sheer Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF 25

Re: Can anyone help with this?
The faces only sunblock really works well, I like it, doesn't sting.
Do you have long hair? Can you comb it back into a pony tail where your scalp isn't exposed? with my hair down and part of my part exposed I have gotten sunburn on my scalp last year and it drove me nuts when it started to like peel! I was scratching at my scalp!!! maybe you can google something for the hair?

Re: Can anyone help with this?
I do have long hair and wore it up in a ponytail for the Indians game....still got burnt on the scalp.
![]() My mom is a hairdresser so she is going to look at the shop around here exclusively for licensed hairdressers. I liked these two that I found on your link: HairCareChoices.com - Nexxus, Goldwell, Scruples and Joico Ti-Silc Scalp Defense Spray SPF 20 by ProCyte 4oz: Compare Prices, View Price History and Read Reviews at NexTag The second one has a higher SPF...I just have to make sure it doesn't sting.
