Today is 90 days out from the day we planned to go surfing. I called WDW this morning to make reservations. With only 12-13 slots allocated per day, I was getting really nervous. After this morning's call, however, I can finally fill out my itinerary in pen because WE ARE IN! Yay! I can't wait to try to surf. Now with only 87 days until we arrive, I am getting more and more excited each day.

OH NO!

I just read on WDWMagic.com that all surfing lessons are cancelled from July 10, 2008 until after the yearly TL refurb. I called WDW-PLAY to verify and they said they aren't taking any more reservations, but they have not officially cancelled existing reservations.

This doesn't look good.

And DH was sooooooo excited.

I read that the other day and i knew someone had surfing lessons on their schedule but i couldn't remember who. I hope it works out for you.

Thank you! I am going to hope for the best and if for some reason our lessons get cancelled, I'll just plan another trip.

Bummer! Our surf lessons have officially been cancelled by Disney. Talk about waiting until the last second to let me know. Oh well! I guess it's better than getting to the park at 6:45 am and finding out!

It does if you rent an hour for regular price, they'll give you 30 minutes free or something like that

They claim they are going to start lessons up again in March after Typhoon Lagoon's refurb. Apparently, the wave pool needs to be recalibrated because it isn't putting out big enough surf waves.

We were able to get the Free Dining this year and it came with a voucher for a watermouse rental. We are most likely going to use the voucher at POR.

So, even though surfing was cancelled, we still have a lot of fun planned.
