Pal Mickey ??

Has anyone used Pal Mickey recently in the parks? There will be no one younger than 14 with us on this trip and I was wondering if its worth the investment.

I havent gotten one yet but from what I hear and have been reading about he is worth getting no matter what age you are.

If you arent sure than you can always rent one and if you like it then just keep him and if not then you can return him to the resort. If you rent they do require a cc and charge I think 8 dollars a day and if you dont return him then you get charged the full price of I think its like around 49.00 w-tax.

IMOP I think that he is a must have.

:D :)

PiratesFan, mentions using it, you might check in trip reports too for what everyone has experienced with it. I know I am going to get one .. lol and we will have a 10, 11, and 14 year old with us ..betcha there will be a fight unless we all have one

We just returned. Pal Mickey worked great !! We bought it for our 2 y/o since he wanted a Mickey anyway.
He knows exactly where you are when you are walking through the parks. Really cool! And he tells jokes that relate to the park you are in. We had a blast having Pal Mickey with us!

Buzz did you have to hold it at waist level like I read in some threads or did it work with your 2 yr old carring him? I'm just wondering if it works well with a child holding it since I know if we get one it will be hugged the whole day long.

Actually we had a bag attached to the handles of our stroller and were able to carry it there and it worked just great. He knew exactly what bridge we were crossing in MK and in AK!!

You must keep him at about waist level facing outwards to work the best. If you hug him and squeeze his tummy or hands he'll tell a joke or something.

I carry a backpack - I wonder if I try clipping him to the straps, if he would work, or must he be a certain height off the ground?

I was told the ideal location for Pal Mickey was waist level so he could pick up the waves from both the ground and air.
