Who does the Planning?

Here I am the one that does it all. When to go, what to pack, (and of course all the packing) which parks which days ( of course he argues that he doesnt get any says so here but when asked he always says "I dont care") how much we have to spend, which resort. All of it. I know it seems there are more women on here then men so I wonder if thats because we are the ones that do all the planning most of the time

I do all the planning, of course... Although, I make him do all of his own packing. If it weren't for me coming up with ways of socking money away, we would never get vacations. He loves WDW but not quite as much as I do. I enjoy it though...I like to come up with little surprises for him as much as the kids.

From the amout of time I spend here you can guess that I am the one who does ALL of the planning. I have done it all, from when we go, where we stay, what parks and where we eat. My DILs picked one restaurant and my DH picked one restaurant only because I MADE them, I kept asking and asking until they said something just to shut me up. After our last trip with another family I am so afraid I won't please everyone on this trip.

A few years ago we went with another couple and I still hear from one of them "I have never been so tired from a vacation as I was that time we went to Disney with you guys. That was just too much work for a vacation, I'll never do that again." No one would help me plan so I did it and everyone seemed fine with it until a few years later. I do not remember ever waking other people up and forcing them to go with me for park opening. They were sure happy to tell everyone that were were the first group on Space Mountain that day and that we rode all that major attractions by noon. hmmm...you just can't have it both ways, Disney is work if you want to do as much as you can in a week.

I usually do all of the planning for most of our outings. Not by choice my DW just doesn't like to plan the details. Of course before I finalize anything, I always discuss the main topics and options with her.

Me!! It's just me and my ds usually. So i get to do most of the planning and packing. Although my son likes to help pack, i usually end up repacking what he has done!;) I always make sure to ask him what he wants to do, so we make sure to do those things. This year, he got to pick the resort...All Star Sports, and pick the water park, BB, and we talked out what days we would go where, and why we picked those days. My mom and grandma are coming along w/us this trip, so I have to take them into consideration too. I emailed them many many times, letting them know what there was to do , and what type tickets to get. They always said, you know best, what ever you say we'll do. (If only that works if I say give me money$$ haha) At least they are packing for themselves!;) I love to plan, though, so its great to get to plan a trip to WDW!!

I do all of the planning for the trip as far as saving the money, picking the resort, travel arrangements, park passes, PS's - which day for which park.

The real boss does 90% of the packing and has final approval on all the plans I've made:whistle:

I do all the planning. :hmmm

I have hinted to my DW that someday I'd love to take a Disney trip and not even know about it. She already knows enough about Travel Agents, how to hit the parks, where to save money, and PS arrangements that I'm sure she could do it. But, as long as we keep doing new types of trips I will handle them. Last time was our first plane and package trip. Next time we will either do the Christmas stuff, or the Cruise.

I do 85% of the planning. I always ask my DH, mom, dad and sister their opinions and I plan everything. Last trip I planned everything 100% this time my mom and sister and DH each picked a meal. My dad doesn't really care as long as he is eating. I've introduced my mom to this site and she started wanting to plan more. She has only posted once but she checks in to read the posts. I love planning so much I'm dreaming of being a Disney Travel Agent! My DH thinks that is a great idea.

I do all the planning...but I love it!

DH sometimes rolls his eyes when I bring Disney up. He sees me on the computer and always asks "if Disney is still there". He threatened to hide my passporter over the weekend!

I am trying to get his input on various things like PS and touring plans, but it is like pulling teeth.

However, I did get him to say that someday we could go back as long as I am not a commando at the parks while we are there.

He says he plans the beach trip (after I pick the rental house).

I do most of the planning... I ask DH for his input, but he usually says, "I don't care whatever you decide..." Once we are in the park, he takes over, as he is a Disney Fanatic!! We both work on the savings and the spending $$

He does laugh at me, when I am on this site...he can't imagine what we have to talk about....oh well :)

I do at least 95% of the research...

Planning is something the whole family does. We try really hard (with mixed success) to get the kids to tell us what they really want to do. This might be sad to some :) , but we have a database with all of the attractions, restaurants, etc... and we'll all sit around rating the different things. That's our idea of a good time. :D

My wife and I are a good team... I'm really good at not getting overwhelmed by the 83 things we want to do and coming up with a plan. My wife is really good at spotting the details that might work better another way. If we reversed those roles, we'd be in serious trouble!

After the plan is set, I do everything online that can be done online (airfare, Tiffany, clothing purchases, etc...) My wife does all of the phone conversations (reservations, Priority Seatings). We split the errands. She'll do most of the packing because I'm just a dumb man who doesn't know which clothes fit which person... :hmmm

Also, it gets easier to plan every trip. Next year will be our 4th year in a row; we could probably do the bare minimum planning, but that'd be no fun. :)

Bruce

Hello
I do all of the planning in my family. My DH relies on me for all vacation plans including where and when to go. I save the money for them and pay for all expenses. My DH gets to show up and enjoy!:)
