So we cheated a bit on our last trip. My daughter was just shy of the 40 inches and the CM's just do not budge!! They would even take out a little card to see if it could fit between the 40" mark and her head!! So I found platform flip flops at Kmart and bought them specifically for our trip last month and it worked like a charm. I was just at Kmart yesterday and I bought 2 more pairs for a total of $9. They stilled measured her at each ride, but she got through. the CM's just smiled and chuckled, but it worked!! I was so excited!! She loved all the rides and can't wait to go back next month!

There are several things I am looking forward to:

1) Staying at the Polynesian....NEVER thought we would have the money to pull this off! I have been wanting to stay at a monorail resort since i was 3 yrs old.

2) Watching DS go on the slide and enjoying the pool at the resort. He recently went on his first BIG water slide and loved it.

3) Bringing DS on Toy Story ride. He has been waiting since last summer to go on it.

4) Buying the Indiana Jones hat at MGM for DS...he has been wanting it for a long time and I never wanted to spend that much money for a hat he is going to play in. We managed to save alot of extra money so this trip the sky is ALMOST the limit.

5) Watching Wishes and the boat parade from the beach at Poly.

6) DS recently has been more daring...he use to go on everything until he was 3 yrs old. Then he got hesitant and it takes a long time to get him to go on a ride he is not familiar with (he is 6 yrs old now). So we are looking forward to seeing which ride he will "conquer".

7) Eatting at Kona's. Still trying to get reservations for Ohana's dinner.

8) Enjoying a disney day outside of the parks. We are arriving the day before our tickets are valid..so we will be using the pool, renting a boat at the lagoon, arcade, etc.

Love this thread!

1) Seeing the Welcome to Walt Disney World as we drive onto property. This always makes me cry as I know I'm "home" now.

2) Trying a DVC resort (SSR) for the first time.

3) THE FOOD!

4) Seeing the holiday decorations!

5) Watching my DD and DS soak up the magic. It really doesn't get any better than that.

What I can't wait for:

1) The two months to pass so I can get to WDW!

2) Walking into POP and when the doors open smelling the air. We noticed it the last trip. Even the air smells sweeter at WDW!

3) Seeing the first signs on property and knowing I will be there for 10 days.

4) Hopefully meeting some MBer's this trip!

5) Getting a Mickey Bar

6) Riding all the rides and having Kait being able to ride most of them this year with us!

7) Going to MNSSHP and watching Kaitlyn.

8) Eating at Chef Mickey's.



There are so many more, but these are my top eight!

Aside from going on vacation with my family, I am looking forward to all of the firsts...

#1 SEEING TYS FACE FOR THE FIRST TIME HE ENTERS THE MAGIC KINGDOM (or anywhere in WDW for that matter!)!

2. Seeing the resort for the first time.

3. Trying a Dole Whip.

4. Artist Point.

5. Riding all of the new rides.

6. Seeing all of the new shows.

7. Meeting my friends from MouseBuzz.



I basically am looking forward to everything.

The things that I can't wait for when I go on a trip are usually little things, but they make me happy inside

1) When they say 'Welcome Home' when you arrive at your resort ()
2) The 'whoosh' of air conditioning when sliding doors open
3) Walking into Magic Kingdom for the first time and seeing Main Street and then the castle
4) The first look inside a store and seeing what's new
5) Seeing the Eiffel Tower at Epcot
6) The first monorail ride and hearing 'pour favor mantengan se alejados des las puertas'! (ignore spelling )
7) Going through the lineup on Splash Mountain, smelling the water (yes I smell water), seeing the portraits of Brer Rabbit, Fox, and Bear, and hearing the music
8) Walking into the Pirates of the Caribbean lineup and hearing 'A Pirates Life for Me' fade in
9) Seeing the first character of the trip
10) The music that plays throughout the parks

Yes I know I have a mammoth list, I figured I'd stop at 10 Those are my favourite things! Now I want to be in Disney...

What I most look forward to is:
1) Wishes - I cry every single time, its just too much happiness in my heart all at one time to be there with all those people, wathing the castle, hearing the music...

2) Jumping into the Surf pool at TL - just thinking about it puts a smile on my face

3) Walking around and swimming at the resort at night - just being there and relaxing. Disney is so beautiful and cool at night.

4) ToT! I must ride it at least 5 times, and always have to do it on the first day if I can.

5) Fantasmic! Love it!

6) Walking around the countries at Epcot and watching Illuminations.

Wow, now I'm getting soooo excited for my October trip!

First I love looking at all the faces of the 'little people' as they watch me on my parade.

Then there is the face time I give my fans.

I would say the third best thing is the beer.

1. standing on mainstreet with new clothes on, a pocket full of money and the sun in my face.

I'm experiencing serious WDW homesickness these days....

What I love....

1. Landing in Orlando. The familiarity of the airport, even seeing the same palm trees in the same places on the little shuttle.

2. "Welcome Home" at the DVC resorts.

3. Our very first evening - no matter what we do - just knowing our Disney vacation is about to begin.

I am really looking forward to staying at Coronado Springs this trip.
We are going to try and hit some things we have missed all of our other trips like a waterpark, and the World Showcase films.

Thought of some more things....have been thinking all day with DD on what we are excited about for this trip.

1. doing ALL the EMH morning and evening..
2. being the last people in the parks when they close..so cool!
3. Boma dinner
4. having a car so I can be the first in line every morning when the parks open..yeah, I am weird like that.
5. OKW and it's boat access to DTD...
6. Going on a Hades quest...must find him some where

Mine are:

1) getting a picture of my 4 yr DS with a Mickey ice cream
2) TOT-- only got to ride it once last time
3) the ME white glove waving to you and just sitting on ME itself
4) maybe trying to get there for the rope drop. We have never done that
5) seeing what WDW looks like out of a holiday season
6) my boys looking forward to Chef Mickey's
7) seeing any fireworks all the way thru (my dh and ds's don't like to watch those)
