Okay, here's the deal and I need help, advice...
We would LOVE to go at Christmas and that's what we decided until I started overthinking everything and thought maybe we could go at Thanksgiving and beat SOME of the crowds and still see the decorations. So, my first question is exactly when do the decorations come out?

Then , I thought well maybe it would be cheaper to go at another time of year for next year and wait a couple more years when the kids are a little older and can handle the BIG crowds and spend Christmas at Disney then.

So, now I am torn between Christmas, Thanksgiving week (if decorations are up) and maybe spring break or first of June.

We are building a house in a year to year and 1/2 so money needs to be watched but it is a celebration trip for various reasons so we want to go all out conservatively (make sense!?)
So, to recap, my concerns for each are:
Christmas- huge crowds and most expensive time to go

Thanksgiving- not sure when decorations are up and not too keen about pulling kids out, but it is a holiday week and they won't miss too much

spring break-crowds, is it cheaper to go at this time than Christmas or Thanksgiving?

first of June- heat- is it really hot and humid at this time? I have a son with heart problems and the August heat last year really bothered his heart and he had chest pain off and on through the whole trip.

Okay, I think that covers it- I SERIOUSLY need help-!!!

The first week of June can be really hot. We were there 2 years ago and had beautiful weather but it was really hot this year, warmer than our July trip last weekend.

I say go during Thanksgiving week. The decorations will be up and the crowds won't be bad the days leading up to Thanksgiving.

I picked Xmas week! I'm not sure HOW MUCH more it costs, but I got a really good deal at CSR from Dec 21-25 . . . you should call to inquire. I was told they were offering the deal, because they were no planned conventions and the resort wasn't even at half capacity.

November- the decorations are out early . . . I seem to recall the day after Halloween, it felt like they were starting with the decorations!

June it's HOT . . . July/Aug are worst . . . like today is 104!

Spring Break . . . you'll have crowds too!

My vote is for Thanksgiving. We did Disney for Thanksgiving 2 years ago and it was great-a little crowded, but great. The weather then is beautiful!! Plus, you can plan a nice Thanksgiving Dinner somewhere.

I would love to get a deal!! According to the website, when I plug in all the dates and things for this year to compare Christmas and Thanksgiving, it is $700 cheaper to go at Thanksgiving than Christmas.

I did the website too . . . calling is better!

My package with dining . . . one adult two kids for 21-25 was $1157 for CSR, for Pop I was told $880 . . . so being Xmas week I figured the $277 extra was worth it for the mod resort! (a little gift to ourselves)

Sounds like Thanksgiving is a good time to go! I was thinking the decorations did not start going up until the week of and were finished by the weekend after. My DH seems really set on seeing decorations. So, maybe we will tentatively plan for this time frame instead of Christmas.

I said Thanksgiving. It's the lesser of the evils. But really, I'd pick the first week of Dec.

Crowd-wise, I think first week of June is your best bet. Hot? Yes, somewhat but not as hot as the rest of the summer. If you are looking for the Christmas decorations and price is a concern, go the week AFTER thankgiving...value season, MVMCP and decore is up.

This is for next year.

We originally wanted to go at Christmas but after thinking about I thought about it too much I think Thnaksgiving would be a better choice in order to see decorations. We discussed it last night and I think we will plan for the week of Thanksgiving- we'll check in the Saturday before and leave the day after.

I would love to go the week after, but I can't pull my kids (all 3) out for that long-I am already looking at pulling them out for 3 days prior anyway, but a lot of kids I notice are out those days anyway and it doesn't really hurt with the schoolwork-the week after they'll have too much to catch up on. I am nervous about the heat because my DS with the heart problems was pretty miserable. So the week of looks like it would be the best bet out of all my crowded choices!
